Great little Screwdriver !
I have looked at these for years and actually bought a cheap one many years ago but gave it away, as I though they were pointless... but circumstances have made me look again.I have very weak grip now, and often tend to drop (and break !) things, so using a 'normal' screwdriver is very difficult now, although I am not saying you need poor grip to use one of these, but in my case that was the reason. It is a lovely little screwdriver, and easy to change the bits and I went for this model, rather than the very similar other model they make, purely because not only do you get the pistol grip but also an in-line grip, which is required sometimes, it is easy to switch to the in-line grip by pressing the black button at the top of the pistol grip and turning it - couldn't be easier. The one I received did not come with the 'dual bit' on the top but came with 5 small bits (1" long) but you can still attach then to the magnetic retainer on the top if you so wish, but I bought a set of longer ones anyway with 'dual tips' and they didn't cost much, it does say on the box that the contents can vary though, and mine did.As with most stuff these days the so called instructions included are "pictorial" only, something I personally hate, as I tend to have to look elsewhere for 'proper explanations of how things actually work - in words or videos.A good point of this is how to put on and remove any attachments such as the "cutter" and "right angle attachment" that I purchased separately, and I only worked out how to do that from a video, which literally only gave me a hint, and nothing more, but having an engineering background I worked it out, eventually. To be honest I nearly sent the attachments back, all because of very poor (well non existent) instructions !There is a 'state of charge indicator' which is on during charging, and you can also check when not charging... you just make sure that it is in the forward position, pull the trigger, and the lights will show the charge, but don't do this when it is in use or under load ! (see page 8 of the instructions). It is nicely balanced and easy to grip too, for the price and the market it is intended for (DIY/Amateur) it is well made and fairly priced, IF you want one with ALL the bells and whistles, they are out there BUT, at a price, which I certainly can't justify !It is easy to use, I always put it in 'neutral' (i.e. lock) when I change the bits, but it is quite easy to knock it into the forward or reverse position though, purely because of its compact size. The light is in a good position, especially if your are in a confined/dark space, it is a most welcome addition.I did buy the "right angle" and "cutting tool" for this also, I found out about the right angle attachment in the instructions and the cutter from the B+D site itself, so IF you have a need for either of these they are worth buying but the cost of them both is about the same price of the screwdriver itself. So to sum up :Pro's : Brilliant screwdriver at a very fair and competitive price.Con's : Really needs torque settings and when you are screwing in, it comes to an abrupt 'jolt' rather than a 'slipping clutch', which does your wrist no favours.I would gladly pay £10-15 more for this … otherwise it is excellent.

Great Electric Screwdriver
Bought this to put together two Cabin Beds with built-in wardrobes, drawers and desks, each had over 200 screws and bolts to put in. Worked great and saved me a lot of time and effort, as some of the bolts were very long. Grip is good, power was more than acceptable for putting together two huge Cabin Beds. Downsides? Well, the obvious flaw is not in the product but the accessories as you get no Flat head screwdriver bit supplied. Only a Star ended bit and a bit with a hexagonal end for bolts (which did fit the bolts in the Cabin Bed perfectly). However,I had a separate manual screwdriver set with 24 different heads/bits, standard size. They all fitted into this Electric screwdriver perfectly, so I was very happy. Also, it has no charging light, which seems a bit dumb as it has a fantastic LED light on it which is so useful during screwing. For the price it is and the job it does, I cannot grumble at all. If you are a "Building Enthusiast", with lots of big regular jobs then perhaps you should invest in a more powerful version. For people like me (who are not spring chickens anymore and can't be screwing for hours on end) this product is perfect.

Excellent product, definitely recommend
This product arrived on time and was packaged really well in its own branded box with its accessories, instructions and guarantee.I charged it as recommended before using and have had no issues with it at all. It is powerful enough to easily undo and fit screws in stereo equipment, jukeboxes and wooden record player cabinets (i use it at work). I would imagine it would also easily cope with larger jobs than i use it for.I have been really impressed with how long the charge lasts, I hardly ever have to charge it!It's a nice size and not heavy at all, very comfortable to hold and the bits are super easy to change with no twisting or undoing, just pop them in and out!The switch to change direction is on the top of the unit and is easy to move but nice and sturdy and the light at the front which works when you use it is very helpful when trying to work inside a dark space, nice and bright.Really impressed with this and for the price I would definitely recommend.

Good so far
Nice screwdriver, works as expected out of the box. The charger is not universal, it B&D specific so that may not suit. But so far so good. Happy to recommend.

Direction switch a bit awkward
Good value long lasting battery and plenty of power. Switch is a pain at times.

It does the job
It's just an electric screw driver like many others on the market at the cheaper end of the price scale so adequate for most little DIY jobs and is fit for purpose for these tasks easy to use without instructions which is just as well because the enclosed instructions were for a jigsaw as pictured
