Did the job, easy to apply and clean off.
Used to remove underlay which had been stuck down. It was extremely difficult to pull up and left a lot of sticky residue which this product dissolved.

Works well but doesn’t go far
This works well to ‘melt’ and release glue once carpet tiles have been removed. After 15 minutes , the glue can be scraped off very stickily. For a whole room, it’s a time consuming job and the bottle doesn’t spread far, if I decide to carry on with this method, I will probably need about 4 or 5 bottles for the small room I am doing. (I painted it on with a paint brush) The fumes are overwhelming, so very good ventilation is needed. If you have a relatively small area of glue to remove, this would be great.

Didn't work
Used this on a very small area of adhesive screed. The smell is dangerously high and after waiting the required time, it didn't budge anything at all. An expensive waste if money. This brands cleaning products are mostly very good but this adhesive remover does not do what it says on the tin!

Not totally sucessful
I'm taking up ancient lino tiles from a concrete floor and want to lay ceramic tiles. This stuff sort-of works but I still have sticky patches which even after four applications refuse to shift. Another thing that the sales pitch doesn't mention and you don't find out until you read the instructions, is that this bottle (3/4 litre) is enough to treat just one square metre, so it costs a fortune to do the kitchen floor. The problem is the industrial strength glue remover sounds really dangerous stuff, so I'm not sure what to do next.

Excellent product
Removed glue from floor after lifting lino. Well up to the job. Very strong fumes. Needs well vented when in use. Very pleased with result.

Try white spirit first.
For context, I needed to remove the spray glue that had been used to lay a vinyl floor covering on concrete, prior to painting with floor paint. The recommendation from the paint supplier was to hire an orbital grinder to remove the glue. I did that and it worked, but some glue remained at the edges and I bought this stuff hoping it would finish the job.Unfortunately I think the name of the product is misleading. It doesn't remove the glue, it softens it, and you end up with something rather like well chewed gum. Now, if you know how hard it is to remove chewing gum from anything, you'll understand the problem. I tried scraping, scrubbing with water and a wire brush, and rubbing with water and a cloth, and just ended up with everything gummed up and a slimy mess on the floor. In a moment of inspiration, I then brushed white spirit on the mess and found it cleaned up quite easily. I then brushed white spirit on some of the remaining dry glue, left it for a minute or so, and found it scraped off with relatively little effort. White spirit costs a fraction of the price of this glue remover and, in my experience, did a better job.My recommendation would be: if you have a large area to do and don't mind removing some of the surface, get a grinder, preferably with a vacuum attached. Without a vacuum you won't be able to breathe or see what you're doing. For anything you can't use a grinder on, at least try white spirit and a scraper before you spend money on proprietory solutions.

This works but not the way shown on the packet.
I bought this on the recommendation of the review written by Jacqueline Kay Carr where she describes how she found it worked. It works brilliantly but I would suggest doing a small area at a time and shortening the period when you leave the product on the floor before scraping. I recon 5 minutes is quite enough but I suppose this may vary according to the thickness/type of glue you are removing. Definitely have a well aired room, anything that smells so nice is really bad for the lungs long term. The instructions on the package are rubbish and I am not surprised that when they are followed to the letter the product does not work. This also proves that the system of feedback is really useful to others. Thank you Jacqueline.

It does work !!
A very useful product indeed. Vinyl flooring glue is a pain in the....This product coped very well to remove it.You do need to put quite alot on and it's very fumey so great ventilation a must.Another bottle ordered tho to fin my porch area, so could do with it being less pricey.
