Great for storage!
I have MANY of these jars and love them. I use some for fermenting feed for my chickens and storing my strained honey. They are easy to clean and have held up well for the most part. I have cracked 2, and I'm not sure how so I gave them 4 stars for durability. The honey jars aren't moved a lot and have had no issues but I am always moving and refilling the fermenting feed so maybe I bumped it to much. On the down side, if a crack develops and you don't see it, everything will leak out BUT after using these for a long time and having at least 12 jars, this has been far and few between. If you bump it, check carefully for cracks but otherwise, it holds up very well and serves the purpose for which I wanted them.

Good for dry storage
I got these for dry pantry storage and they seem fine for that. Well packed for shipping and easy to remove from box. Easy to clean and lids fit snugly. Upon inspection, the jars do seem to have some inconsistent quality. The bottoms are imprinted inconsistently and the sidewall glass contains visible air bubbles and some strange lines that don't look like the normal molding seam line. I would certainly not want to put pressurized contents (like ferments) in here with the lid on tight. However, for my intended use these jars seem up to the task, and should also be perfectly fine for non-pressurized liquid use.

Tricky packaging
While I think these jars are great, the tricky packaging resulted in me breaking one of the jars about 3 minutes after receiving them and then spending an hour cleaning up glass shards. Word to the wise- get a friend to help you open this product. One set of hands is not enough. Two jars are folded together into each end of a protective cardboard- which works well for keeping the jars protected in transit. To unpack one jar, you have to unfold or unravel this cardboard on one side, but try to keep the other side from unraveling at the same time. If you have a 2nd set of hands to hold one side together while you unpackaged the other, you’ll be fine. With one set of hands, the side you aren’t working with can sort unravel itself while you are trying to get the other jar out. What results after that can be the unattended jar shifting out of the cardboard onto your granite countertop and shattering, sending glass pieces all over you, the counter, the 2 dogs at your feet, the kitchen and dining area... Trust me, get a friend to help unpack so that you get to enjoy all 4 of your brand new jars instead of 3!EDIT: Upon reading my review, the seller reached out to me and immediately sent me another jar to replace the one that broke. Great customer service!

4 Pack - 1 Gallon Glass Jar w/ Plastic Airtight Lid,
Excellent packaging, fair price, and quick shipping for fragile items. These are molded glass (very definite mold separation lines), and have a plastic lid with a soft insert that seems to make a very good seal. Packaging says "Made in USA", and all printed material uses correct spelling and syntax.Using two for storage of dry goods, one for making iced tea. One holds almost a ten pound bag of granulated sugar, with about five cups left over. When I use this for tea, I brew the tea in about a quart and a half of boiling water, add about a quart and a half of cold water to the jar, then pour the hot tea into the jar and top off with cold water. This seems to be working fine for preventing breakage by thermal shock to the jar. I will be ordering more of these. Very satisfied.
