5kg CO2 Fire Extinguisher - FireShield

As fire extinguishers go, this is a beast. It’s very well constructed and hopefully it’ll last for years without use, touch wood!It’s big, standing at 75cms tall and a diameter of 13cm you’ll need to find space to find it a suitable home. Speaking of home make sure it doesn’t end up sitting in bright strong sunlight as the rubber hose is likely to perish if it’s left for years in the same spot.When it arrives you’ll find the exhaust pipe in the box with a plastic washer attached to it. You’ll need a 27mm spanner to fit the pipe to the bottle. There is also a wall mounting bracket in the box but as a previous reviewer mentioned, no screws.The exhaust rubber pipe is 60cm long which then has a hard plastic 56cm funnel with a hand grip on the end of it. There’s a clip on the funnel which will let you clip it to the extinguisher just like the picture shows. The instructions call it a horn, but I’m calling it a funnel.It weighs in at 14kg so could hurt little ones if it fell over on to them so be warned.Finally, dated on the side of the extinguisher is the date when it was manufactured. Unlike some fire extinguishers which are kept on the shelf for years before being sold, mine was dated just one month older than my ordering date, so I hope I can expect a complete 5 year life span for the extinguisher as per the warranty.

A necessary tool when laser cutting in a wooden outhouse. But a great buy. Obviously haven't used it yet.

Hey!!! it's a fire extinguisher, never gonna know how good It is until I gotta use it...right!!!Arrived well packaged, instructions for use on the side, minimal assembly 3 screws for wall mounting (not supplied) and one large nut to attach hose and funnel, job done, just got to wait until I get a fire in the kitchen, you can always tell when we got salad for tea, you cant see any smoke coming from the kitchen...lol I would think twice about using it on a chip fat fire though.All joking aside,an essential tool for anywhere in the house, if I never have to use it, it's money well spent and could just buy you the time you need,
