Mine is not soft leather. It has a firmer finish.

I'm going to say, maybe not. At the moment with card slots full and some cash in it, the dimensions are 4" X 1-1/2". It obviously depends on the pocket size of your pants. It is also rather long, so it would also stick out of most pockets. It all depends on what your comfort level.
