Vic FirthAmerican Classic® Drumsticks 5BVG Vic Grip - American Hickory - Wood Tip

These sticks arrived promptly, altho' I would say the size of box they were packed in was a bit excessive - 18 x 18 x 6 inches!! They are well made and so far feel to be ideal for playing e-drums (Traps E500 kit) They do seem to reduce the plastic sounding thud of hitting the cymbals which is a good thing. In the long term I think the best option will be for me to get a set of brass cymbals, but that's a whole nother thing :-) In summary, great sticks that do what I wanted them to do.

Vic Firth sticks are really good quality. Weighty for the size, because of the quality of the wood. My only very minor issue is that the gloss black paint makes the sticks feel slightly slippery in your hand, but I've not dropped one yet.

Good stick. One downside, which is not a reflection of the quality but a consideration; I get through more of these sticks than normal ones because of the better grip and I think I must be hitting because I'm hitting a bit harder. Oh well, that's rock 'n roll for ya!

Wanted a pair of sticks for my son to practise quietly in order not to annoy the neighbours too much. This definitely does the job. It reduces the noise on the hi hats and cymbals but not really on the drums itself. He prefers this to the mute pads I bought him. He said it feels like the weight of a normal pair of sticks.

Son really pleased with these, good quality and arrived in a huge box so he didn't know what was in it!

Good weight and length. Grip isn't much to note but does make them look stylish

The product was amazing. I’m a little heavy-handed on the drums but the stick respond just for what I needed. Definitely check this out a good product God bless you.

The media could not be loaded. I use these 5 B's more for practicing. I love the extra lacquer which feels good playing traditional or regular grip, feels nice in the hands. My only issue I have is the bead of the stick tends to start wearing out. Now that could be because I'm playing a lot with them. I just take a little bit of sandpaper after a while and just smooth them out. Gracias.

Only reason I give them a 4 is the grip lasted maybe a week before it started to tear and come apart. Which is fine if you only play acoustic, because your sticks get thrashed in a week but if you play/practice on an e-kit they should be expected to last longer then a week. So if you play hard on an acoustic kit get these, if you’re buying to have a grippy pair to last then you choose.
