Great little set of strings
I play in Drop C, D standard, and C standard on an Epiphone Les Paul and these strings are perfect for me. I used other strings for many years, but I kept having to adjust my truss rod and bridge to compensate for the lack of tension. This set is excellent and provides great intonation in my tuning range. I tried another brand of strings with this gauge and they sounded ridiculously twangy. I've also had a lot of trouble with locking in the tuning of some other brands and, I have to say, these lock in better than any other brand I've tried. They lock in so well its almost like I have a Floyd Rose -- I can go without playing for a long time in both humid and dry conditions and these are never more than a tiny bit off when I pick up the axe again. When I take care to properly clean my strings and apply string glide after I play, they also last a lot longer than some other brands I've bought. Because of my excellent experience with DR strings, these are my go-to brand and I won't be playing anything else.

Sound great. Tension is kind of odd though.
Tuning to Drop B on a 25.5 scale tension feels good for the most part, but 4th and 5th strings are pushing about 30lb of tension versus 18lb on the other strings. They sound very punchy though. Usually last me a few months.

Hated These Strings
What a mess. Disclaimer: I have never used strings of this thickness before. I was hoping for a nice heavy metal sound. I will never know. These are very messed up and not very pleasant to put on. It is also the first set of strings I have ever purchased that put in two strings per bag. I think this sucks. I prefer to even give the manufacturer an extra few cents to put each string in a package individually.Basically, while putting these things on two broke right off the bat. It seems D tuning puts a lot of tension on the strings, as all I had at the end of my re-stringing process was 4 strings that did not snap. These are better served for tuning even lower than D if possible.Never been so disappointed by a simple set of strings in my life, and I sure as hell will never buy them again. In fairness, it could have been my own fault, but I have played guitar for years and never had strings break before you could even get them properly tuned. And yes, I was doing drop D tuning. But it was so aggravating, I don’t even want to play my other guitar with good strings today, and I really was in the mood.I generously went 3 stars on a product I really think should be 1. But others seem to like them, I am not here to put a brand down. But to me, these strings were a total aggravating waste of money and time. A nightmare, to be honest. I am going to stick with what I know works from now on.I will never consider this brand again. Your results may vary, and I hope they do.

Top Notch Strings
I usually go for Curt Mangan strings, but for down tuning I will always go for DR DDT. They last forever and will never break on you.

Great strings for Bb tuning
These strings hold great tension for the lower tunings. I'm using them on a Jackson RR1 w/ Floyd Rose with no problems, also a tip for anyone who is experiencing breakage at the String Lock Insert Blocks, don't crank down too hard on the String Lock Screw, it should be snug but not so tight as to dig into the string. You also risk breaking the Screw head itself if you over tighten them! Strings stay in tune, and intonation was very easy. Perfect for slamming death metal!

Awesome strings
Wow, these strings are amazing. At first I was a bit concerned because they felt very stiff and tight. But after playing for a little while, they started to loosen up. That's when it got interesting. The strings hold a tune like nobody's business, they don't create a muddy sound and yet they don't create a super bright sound. Somewhere in between which makes it perfect for down-tuned guitars playing either clean or with distortion. I picked up these strings just to give them a chance; I sure am glad I did. I've ordered more of these as I've completely fallen in love with them. Make sure to wipe them down after each play and applying a little Dr.Duck's Axe Wax to them will extend the life of the strings dramatically.

Better than standard strings for drop tuning
Better than standard strings for drop tuning. Used these in the studio for recording in drop B and drop A tunings, on a Steinberger. The tuning is far more stable than using regular strings detuned. Tension wasn't as high as I expected, but thinner necks may need the truss rod readjusted. Tone is somewhat 'meh', but if you're doing drop B and drop A tunings, you're probably using truckloads of distortion anyway. Harmonics were a bit harder to find than my standard strings. Showed up on time and as promised. Got the job done.

Brutal tone, but not very rust resistant
I bought these to go on my six-string so that I could tune down to A# with a decent amount of string tension. These strings did allow me to do just that, and the tone was very thick and aggressive, which allowed for some very heavy palm mutes and easy tapping. There is a down side. In comparison to Ernie Ball strings, these rust rather easily. I wipe off my strings after every use and use string lubricant before hand, but the two high strings in particular become extremely dirty and start to develop rust after just one 2 hour jam session.I would recommend these strings highly for their tonal qualities, but they definitely do not have the durability of Ernie Balls.

MONSTER STRINGS
Good set of strings for downtuning - only problem is that the 3rd string (G in standard tuning) is not WOUND and thusly wont tune in properly to anything below Low C tuning. I have my ESP in Low B , and the 3rd (D) is twangy and ratley , you need a wound string to get the correct tone and tuning . Daddario Baritone set is better as theyre beefier guage and contain a wound 4th
