Yes, I did take these with me to China for 10 days. I do not have the dexterity to use regular chopsticks. I didn't want to embarrass my colleagues or potential clients with my fumbling so I ordered these and went to my local ramen house and practiced a couple of times before eating my first meal in a restaurant in Shanghai. They work great. I had no issues with noodles, edamame, or anything else. I also looked like a 'smart cookie' by admitting to my inadequacies and finding a workaround solution via Amazon.

I love using my auto-chipsticks instead of traditional utensils or my fingers! Easy to use, clean and carry! Will purchase more as Xmas gifts!

I got these for my mom. She's in her 70's and has arthritis. We've used chopsticks for decades but it has been getting difficult for her. I thought these might make it a bit easier but the pressure necessary to hold noodles is more than regular chopsticks. Even for me it's more difficult.As a novelty, they're kinda cool. Not really useful though.

So I picked these up for my Mother who has really bad arthritis in her hands but still tries really hard to use her regular chopsticks. She loves the single button operation and the fact the "body" is so easy to hold. She has said they are heavier than regular chopsticks but since she isn't trying to use ther whole hand to manipulate them it's no worse than a good sturdy fork. Worth ever penny!
