Fast, easy to setup, tons of options. Excellent router!
For those who complain that this router has a simple interface and no settings... That is only true if you just use the dlink app. Browse to the admin interface via a web browser (and if on a mobile browser, then select 'desktop') and you have tons of settings. This router is very fast, works great, and quite flexible in its quality and settings. I have been using dlink routers for at least 18 years and have never had an issue with any of them. 5 stars all the way.

Great product but BEWARE THE TECH SUPPORT!
This router does a great job! No complaints on its functionality. However, I have two warnings:1. This router is discontinued as of 2021, so there will be no tech support for it after Dec 2020.2. The app you need to set up the wireless did not work for me, so I went to their website to look for help. A chat popped up asking if I needed help. DO NOT ANSWER THE CHAT! It is a scam to get you to pay to install the router and do fictitious work to improve your computer. Look for a phone number on the D-Link webpage for support and call. Their tech people were kind and took 5 min to install it for free. Even careful people like me can be fooled! I was lucky my instincts kicked in before damage was done.

Don't know who drops my connections (LAN & WiFi).
At this time, I have to award only 3 Stars. "Sorry changed to 1 Star". The reason, I haven't completely finished my research about the sluggishness on my WiFi enabled devices. Some, or all of my WiFi devices fight to stay connected to the router. I don't know at this time if the issue lies at router or the WiFi devices. I have smart or not so smart switches, mostly at the time I would like to shut a light off for example, Echo Dot replies that the switch isn't responding. Monitoring the devices via the routers built in page (client connects) it shows them at random disconnected to the router. After several retries, eventually the task is carried out. I believe that the device is disconnected and the host (asking to switch) can't get it to reply (Timeout). After some command retries somehow it finds its connection, in time, to the router and carries out. I have also noticed that wired devices will lose briefly their connection. A wired device, should never lose their connection using the LAN ports (as they are specified to be able to handle 1000 Mbits) and a keep alive packet, happens in milliseconds or less. The wireless signals are strong enough to work, once the connection is established, therefore, the WiFi devices should stay connected! My Modem can handle speeds about 8 times faster as I subscribe, even with the known bottlenecks through Cable ISPs, it should be well over the requirements. Loss of connection, happens on either band ergo on 2.4G or 5G.I tried to resolve the issue, by contacting D-Link via Internet, since my ear starts to hurt when it gets too lengthy, I am deaf on one ear, so I can't switch and the speaker on the phone doesn't help either. Although, I have to call them as they instructed, to resolve or at least pinpoint the issue.Being a retired EE, I already know what the solution or answer would be, "it isn't our device" check with the WiFi manufacturer. Unfortunately, this wouldn't fly with me, since I rented a Modem/Router combination from the ISP and didn't encounter these issues. It started when I took the D-Link Router into service.I believe, that the firmware is not mature enough and may have some bugs/flaws in their "mary go around" routine. The WiFi part of the router has to serve 12 WiFi devices (not all active, all the time) and 6 Wired devices (also not all active, all the time)

Great router
I needed something that could handle our foscam cameras, multiple portable devices (laptops, tablets, phones). This works well, speeds are great, our cameras pickup faster and no image issues. Easy to setup, I bought a second one for my 80+ year old mom and her Arlo Pros and portable devices and also very simple, practically plug and play.

Decent router, one issue.
This router was a breeze to set up. Fool proof setup. Almost unsettling how easy and simple the setup is. Range is a little better than my old d link. Really wish it had an accompanying app for remote management like my old d link cloud router. I liked having the ability to reboot remotely and monitor connected devices. Should be standard, especially at this price range.

Disappointed in D-link
Buying D-link products for years and this is the first product that just did not work as expected. Customer support was no use to my issue.

Nice performance, definite upgrade over my decade old linksys.....havent had to do a reset yet! Loving that! Havent noticed any slowing when everybody in the house is online with various equipment ....cell phones, laptop, wireless printer....probably shouldve got the 2200 or higher version....so wont want to upgrade quick...but the deal was so good i could not pass it by
