Love it....
Never written a review before but as this is now my new favorite game I thought it deserved some support.Graphics and sound are fantastic and very atmospheric. The Endor and Hoth maps feel like you are in the films, especially in Walker Assault mode on Hoth with AT ATs bearing down on the rebel base. The sound effects too are great, with blaster sounds just like the film.Multiplayer gameplay is completely addictive and great fun. Difficulty just right too - although I initially started off completely pants, I can actually get mid to upper table the rankings after putting a good amount of time in.I completely understand the negative comments about the offline mode being very limited (and if that is what you are buying it for I would think twice) but a one star rating is very harsh - the graphics and sound alone deserve at least two or three stars.I would give this 4 stars given the lack of offline gameplay and perhaps lack of variety on weapons, characters etc (although more coming as dlc) but for me the sheer quality and enjoyment of the multiplayer warrants the five stars. Great game.

A must for all Star Wars fans (who can afford it)
I personally think this game is underscored on these review pages.Yes, that's correct...it doesn't have a single player campaign, but single player campaigns are not mandatory! But what it is is a completely immersive experience of EPIC huge multplayer battles with authentic Star Wars visuals (actually the graphics are incredible) and authentic Star Wars sounds. However It is a valid argument that the product is overpriced for what it is. But if you can afford it and if you enjoy the Star Wars universe then I could not recommend this game enough. There are only a select few maps to play on, but these maps are huge and detailed and incredibly fun to play. And thats the word that sums up this game more than anything.."FUN"In my opinion they have the balance just right between fun and depth; there are leveling up options available through you choice of "star cards" which act as timed gadget to help you in your mission to defeat the opposition. There are plenty of choices here, from personal shields to long range rifles to thermal detonators! Level up these individual cards reduces the cool down times of them. For each kill you make, each game you complete, each objective you succeed with you will be rewarded with points. With these points you can purchase new star cards, "Trait Cards" which give you a small set of skills that rank up in game (and reset in game when killed), modded armour and a selection of blasters and pistols. There are various game modes to try out, more so than many other multiplayer games I have played recently. Many are saying a lot of these game modes are just fillers to bulk out the product. I must disagree, I have played all the game modes a fair bit and they all have their own feel and deserve different tactical approaches to the others, they are all different enough to warrant their existence. As a huge Star Wars fan myself I think DICE has done an exceptional job of catching the essence of the Original Trilogy; the excitement of battling the Empire on the Moon of Endor whilst gigantic AT-ATs head towards their goals is exhilarating...and all of a sudden you're warned that "Bobba Fett is in your sector" only to see this jet packed bounty hunter appear from out of nowhere to reek havoc at the command of the Empire. This product loses a star in my opinion because it could do with more maps to play with.Whilst it does not have a dedicated Single Player campaign, it does have single player (and co-op) missions that are short and enjoyable whether you are playing alone or with a friend. But these are just missions with objectives, there is no narrative.

great game. I was an avid fan of Star ...
In short, great game. I was an avid fan of Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the PS2, to the extent that I still play it from time to time now. When I read there wasn't going to be a campaign style mode, or a space battle mode, I was crushed. My well spent youth of conquering the galaxy in BF2 had allowed me to build up how good this would look on the PS4, but alas, no modes such as these were coming. However, from the moment I put the game into the machine (and played the mini Darth kills everyone game), I haven't even thought about what it doesn't have, only about what it does. My god, its beautiful. The fully immersing style of online game play (especially in Assault Walker) is what the Star Wars Universe would feel like. From Tie-Fights and X-Wings battling over head, to the explosions, walkers and weapons, even the Wilhelm Scream, and battling Jedi's side by side with rebel fighting, it just feels right. For that reason, I judge it on what it is, and not what it may have been. What it is, is freaking awesome. That being said, if the developers fancy putting in a conquer the galaxy mode at some point, I wont be disappointed!
