Will it work for mesh fence?

I have mine hooked up to a rabbit/goat mesh fence and it is working good

Runs up to 2 weeks on normal battery; what's a normal battery? How much power does it use?

12v 12ah battery. It doesn't really use power unless it's grounded to something.

Is this a low impedance unit?

Hi,yes its low impedence,my only complaint is the stud where you connect the fence to are really short,if the stud turns it will break the wire from the circuit after i resoldered it to the board,however,the performance is awesome,after i fixed it i though it was dead so i touched the wires,i cant believe it didnt stop my heart(im 68).alot of power 2.0 joules

If I attach a battery and plug it in will it trickle charge the battery so it will be available during a power outage?

I wiuld not think so. But not certain.
