I first bought this mascara in Italy and loved it as it is waterproof and didn't smudge even with sun lotion, but still came off easily with remover. I went back and bought several more, but my supply ran out last year. I tried some other mascaras but was not happy with them and was really pleased to find it was available in the UK. Still my favourite mascara!

This brand is underrated, the mascara is juicy and lasts all day without flaking or clumping. I get sore irritable eyes with many brands of mascaras but this one delivers what I want without any discomfort and it's cheap too. Can recommended it

My favourite mascara - I think this is my 6th purchase of it! Definitely the best! Makes eyelashes long and well defined without clumping. I love that it looks natural and not like tarantula eyes!

This is a basic mascara, good black colour which stays on well, even after swimming, where others leave you looking like Beetlejuice when you get out of pool.No fibers so doesn't build your lashes if that's what you prefer. Very reasonable price and best of all not animal tested, what's not to like!

Ove the years, I must have used (& binned) dozens of different mascaras. some were poorly designed, the containers being too fat, & difficult to hold comfortably. Others had odd-shaped, or even 'rubbery' brushes. Some mascaras had fibres in, which I don't like. The ones I liked best had nice straight containers, not too thick, with a normal, straight brush. This black waterproof version from Essence really is the best I've ever used. Doesn't dry up in the container. Easy to apply. Doesn't irritate my eyes. Highly recommended.

Having read the reviews I thought that some of them sounded a bit too good to be true with this mascara and I was 100% correct. I'm not sure why it has such good reviews. It's terrible. Some have said they have swam in it etc but me thinks they may be fibbing. I put this on first thing in the morning and within an hour I was getting raccoon eyes with flaking off leaving black dots of mascara on my cheeks and as for swimming in it it comes completely off after 10 minutes in the pool. You get what you pay for there is a reason it's so cheap. Stay well away especially if you wear contact lenses.

I've tried loads of different mascara brands but I keep coming back to this one, in my opinion it's the best one. Also a very good price.
