Can I turn off the light completely?

Yes, you can. There is a light button, and on/off power button. Turning on the dehumidifier will not turn on the light, unless you press the light button. After turning on the light, long press the light button to turn off the light. (Note: pressing the ON/OFF button will not turn off the light.)

Problem with water collecting in the tank?

I’ve had no problem with water collecting in tank. This unit is amazing. Easy to empty too!

When emptying the reservoir should you turn off the dehumidifier❓

I never do. When you r pull it out it will shut off by itself. Then when you insert it the dehumidifier will come back on automatically.

Will it start automatically after a power outage or via humidity sensing controlled power outlet?

No, if it loses power it will not turn back on. You will have to turn it on manually. Hope that helps.
