I bought some short ones and some taller ones, both are similar diameter.

Well our whole family use these, we even dropped one in the sink and it's fine, so I would say they're sturdy, as for "thick" I would say they're not delicate like fine wine glasses, but not thick like sundae glasses. We love them and use them all the time, so they cope with a lot, I hope this helps.

the glass can also contain coffee or tea, but it is certainly not the most suitable glass
