Unfortunately won't grip
Finally found a chuck for my vintage Coronet lathe.... But Unfortunately won't grip the work peice at speeds greater than 550rpm the chuck seems to loosen itself and the the wood flies out. Tried a few times to tighten up but just damaged the work piece and still let go and goes in to orbit round the shed! . Sorry to say return for a refund.The jaws do take a knack of getting in correctly but seemed well made.Very disappointed as it wasn't the cheapest option available and looked well made.

Poor quality chuck build.
This is a poorly built product. I have persevered with it but wood constantly flies out of the jaws, despite being well centred and gripped as tightly as possible.........just dangerous. Additionally, the the jaws as very difficult to align. Spend on a quality chuck, as I now have. The difference is phenomenal and safer. And it now seems I can't return as outside the window, despite it not being fit for purpose. I don't usually write reviews. The 1" to 3/42 adaptor works!!

It's good
It seems to be well made, heavy duty. It is a little cumbersome in that you need to change the configuration to move through the whole size range. But for the price it's well made and does the job.

Smaller than you realize
All the dimensions were as stated... It's smaller than you think. I wish I had gotten a larger size.
