Solid choice for anyone looking to rodent-proof their home
After installing the Muzhira Rodent Proofing Galvanized Wire Mesh to protect my property from pests, here’s my detailed assessment of its pros and cons:Pros:Effective Rodent Barrier: The wire mesh does an excellent job of blocking entry points for rats, mice, and other small animals. With its small mesh size and strong build, it effectively keeps rodents out, giving me peace of mind. It’s especially useful for sealing gaps around doors, vents, and other common entry points.Durable and Rust-Resistant: Made from galvanized steel, this mesh is designed to withstand the elements, including moisture. After a few weeks outdoors, I noticed no signs of rust or corrosion. Its durability makes it ideal for long-term use, both indoors and outdoors, without needing frequent replacement.Large Coverage Area: The 6-meter length and 300mm width provide plenty of material to cover several areas around the home or garden. The size is generous enough for multiple projects, which makes it cost-effective for those needing to protect various entry points or larger areas.Easy to Cut and Shape: The mesh can be cut easily with wire cutters, making it simple to customize to fit specific spaces. I found it easy to work with, even in tight spaces, and it was flexible enough to mold around pipes and small gaps without losing its strength.Multi-Purpose Use: Aside from rodent proofing, the mesh is also useful for other projects, such as building garden enclosures, protecting plants, or even as a ventilation screen. This versatility adds value and makes it a handy material to have on hand.Cons:Sharp Edges Require Caution: The mesh edges can be quite sharp after cutting, so gloves are a must to avoid cuts. Handling and installation require care, especially for beginners. Some users may prefer a pre-finished edge if they’re using it in highly accessible areas.May Need Reinforcement in High-Risk Areas: While the mesh is durable, particularly determined rodents may still attempt to gnaw at it. In high-risk or heavily trafficked rodent areas, additional reinforcement (like doubling up the mesh) may be needed for extra security.Limited Aesthetic Appeal: Since it’s functional, the appearance isn’t particularly decorative. The mesh can look a bit industrial, so if aesthetics are a priority, it may not blend well in visible spaces. However, it works well in concealed or low-visibility areas.Requires Tools for Installation: While the mesh is easy to cut, installation often requires additional tools like wire cutters, gloves, and potentially staples or clips to secure it. This may be inconvenient for those who don’t have these tools on hand or are looking for a quick, tool-free solution.Overall Verdict:The Muzhira Rodent Proofing Galvanized Wire Metal Mesh is a solid choice for anyone looking to rodent-proof their home or outdoor areas. Its durability, rust-resistance, and generous coverage make it a dependable and long-lasting solution. While some caution is needed with sharp edges and installation, the mesh is versatile, effective, and suitable for various protective uses. For those who prioritize functionality over aesthetics and are equipped to handle basic installation, this product is a great investment in keeping pests out.

It seems to be a good, flexible product - proof will be its longevity and actually doing the job
The product come tightly rolled and can be ordered in a variety of depth. It has a small mesh, so none of a variety of wee beasties would squeeze through. Despite a twist of wire securing the roll there was an overly excessive amount of single use cling film used. This may be to protect delivery personnel, as the rolls were in a black plastic bag. It would seem more environmentally friendly to use a couple more wire twists and a box.DO wear gloves and take care when you have removed the film and wire twist as the roll springs out. I would have given this 5 stars, but for the fact that one of two rolls had a fault in more than one place. In one part a vertical row of wire was missing. In some places there was an edging wire, whilst in in others there was none and the top and bottom edge of the roll were a series of jagged cut off wires. For us the rolls were to provide a rat proof skirt around the air space below our garden shed. We made a groove in the soil and rested the lower edge of the roll in this, fastening the top edge on the wooden support beams and below the last two boards of the shed sides. In places it bellied in or out a little, but we have used some slate chippings topped with pebbles on the lower edge for about 1 - 2 inch depth. We are hoping this would allow us to see any digging activity and the material would keep dropping into the digging areas. We would have liked to be able to bury the bottom 2 - 3 inches below ground level and perhaps in concrete or even lay this type of grid as a layer on the ground, attached to the bottom of the wire 'walls. However, this wasn't a new build shed. We feel the metal mesh should allow air to circulate below the shed whilst stopping the use of the space as a nesting area. We'd have liked the mesh to be a little more rigid to push down in the ground, but what we did like the flexibility for was the ability to accommodate any bumps in the concrete corner posts below the shed, causing wrap arounds to be possible. When we ran out of a roll I used wire to overlap two ends and lace them together forming a continuous skirt. For the price it seems ok, but the faults made for our 4 star and 'could be better' comment

Good product, well made
I used this print to prevent my squirrels going into my plant pots. It’s impossible to cut it with anything other than wire cutters or just bending it but they do shape into position quite well.
