Excellent Quality - Larger Areas Coloured In.
I’ve found myself doing more and more of the Adult Colouring books, they help me to relax and unwind.I already have a set of the Staedtler Fineliner Tip for the small intricate areas which I just love, so that’s why I settled on these 1 mm tip pens to colour the bigger areas. For the price and quality you can’t go wrong with Staedtler. They arrive in the bulk standard plastic wallet which is alright to keep them in, but I keep mine in a tin purchased just for my pens. You get a selection of 20 pens with varying shades from the colour spectrum. Each pen is cylindrical instead of prism shaped, and has a vented snap on lid. They don’t smell and if you get ink on your hands or fingers it does wash off easily with soap and water; which will be good news to parents who want to buy these for children. As an adult I haven’t yet drawn on my clothes so I don’t know if the colours wash out of textiles….The nibs are not too hard so they feel scratchy, but not too soft that they squash. The ink will seep through the paper if you continually colour in the same spot. I always have a piece of white card behind the page that I’m colouring so no ink goes onto the next page. Some of the colours are a slightly different shade to what the body of the pen dictates, but I haven’t found that to be a problem.I’ve been using my first set of Staedtler Fineliner pens for nearly 3 months now and they are not showing any signs of running out, so I can only assume these will last a long time as wellMy overall opinion is these pens are fit for purpose and are of good quality and a great price. So I happily recommend these.

TRUE COLOURS
This is a set of 20 narrow-point fibre tipped pens that I have got for my 6-year-old granddaughter for her use and enjoyment of the ‘Draw Anything’ book by Holly Wales. The book is a manual in effect, but a very interesting and inspiring one, promoting the artistic satisfaction to be derived from this colour-source, rather neglected until now. The pens are the artist’s ‘brushes’, and obviously they come in different thicknesses, combining into a multicoloured palette. There are 20 of the brushes here, to accompany the 12 colours I have in the corresponding wider-tipped numbers from a different supplier. The quality of the colours is much the same throughout, suggesting that both manufacturers are getting their ink from a common pool. It will be interesting to find whether or not this amounts to any kind of restriction in practice. What I’m hoping is that this wide spectrum of colours will enthuse the little user beyond experiencing any sense of lacking choice. One common feature is that the yellow pens (3 shades here) make hardly any visible mark, and I don’t know whether this is a shortcoming or some kind of challenge.I also don’t know how long one of these pens will last, but common sense tells me that it’s best to get plenty of them, as I have done. The cost is not exactly prohibitive, and the makers claim that the tips are not liable to go dry quickly, although obviously it’s also good sense to keep the caps on them. It’s all an experiment, sold to me by the enthusiasm and belief of Holly Wales, and I’m going to give it all to the little one a week or so before it has to compete for her attention with a miscellaneous cornucopia of Christmas presents.

Long-lasting and a Good Range of Colours
These pens are great, with a wide range of colours and a long lifespan. The only downside is that the packet they come in is not very sturdy and they are therefore slightly difficult to keep organised.

Truly remarkable longevity
I bought a set of these felt tip markers at the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown in April 2020.Facing months of home working while occupying for my two preschool aged children, I stocked up on colouring supplies. They colour beautifully, and I love the fact that the caps are all the same colour. It's easy to put the pens away when young children abandon a colouring activity without recapping the pens!Since between April 2020 and now (October 2021), we've collected at least four other sets of felt tip markers and all of those sets have dried out and been binned.Yet... We still have at least half of the markers from this Staedtler set going strong. That's right, these pens still have life left in them after 18 months of regular use.I've just purchased another pack and stock up on the colours we're missing and I don't think I'll be buying any other marker types until my children are much older.

Great pens, great price, and great quality!
I love, love, LOVE these pens!Firstly the colour range in the pack is great, and even on their own I've found I've always had a nice selection of colours to choose from when using them. I've found the colours to be quite vibrant. The aesthetics of the pens are also great, they're easy to hold and use, and I've mostly found them to glide on paper when I'm using them. The colours are strong, but I haven't found them to come through onto the other side of a page yet which is also great. That will obviously depend on the quality of the paper being used I guess tho.I bought these instead of buying a slightly different pack which was £10 more expensive, at first I was apprehensive as I though maybe I wouldn't get the quality, but I have been plesently surprised. A friend bought the more expensive pack and when we compared them the only difference was the color shade, obviously hers were slightly different to mine, and she actually wished she'd of bought these instead. I used them a fair amount in my coloring books and they are still going strong, another positive.

Disappointed
Most probably my mistake but not really colouring in pens, better for outlining. The ink soaked into the card and turned into little balls of soggy ink. A waste of money and not what I wanted. A good selection of colours though.
