I needed purple thread to hem a dress that was too long, and I didn't want to go to a fabric store to find it. This seemed like it would have a shade of purple that would match. It did. I hemmed the dress while watching something interesting on TV, only stabbed myself with the needle a couple times, and only had to undo what I'd started once because I didn't really know what I was doing. Anyway, I needed purple thread, this is purple thread, and it did what I needed it to do. Huzzah!
