Excellent, durable, long lasting, well designed headlamp.
This is an excellent headlamp with a very bright and long lasting light. I have used several different flashlights and headlamps over the years and this one far exceeded my expectations. The very odd headband makes for a very comfortable fit. It stays in place well, is very light, and having the battery in the back balances it well. The battery is detachable and easily charged. It is a bit finicky to get the battery on and off, but it stays attached firmly so there is no worry that it will come off in the field. Being able to use the battery to charge other devices (via its USB-C port) in a pinch is a nice touch. Additional batteries are available, but in my opinion, they are overpriced.Overall excellent product and I would buy again.

Fabulous (updated 11.12.24)
This thing is great. I've tried a few other head lamps that were cheaper. But this one is superior. It's light weight, and the mass is balanced on your head. I was a little sketchy at first about the type of head band but now I'm very happy with it. It's such a light touch that I almost forget I'm wearing it. And the battery is superb, I can run the light all day and only lose 1/2 a charge. Some of the cheaper head lamps I tried had junk batteries that would lose voltage over time resulting in a dimming effect. This light stays full brightness all day long. I'm talking longer than 12 hours of continuous use. My guess it would go 24 hours but I've not tested it.UPDATE: Ok, I have tested it for two days. Keep in mind this thing has two modes, adaptive and fixed or whatever they call it. Adaptive is the default whereby the light intensity self modulates based on ambient. But sometimes you might not want it to; you can switch to fixed by holding the button down for a few seconds. All my testing so far has been in the default mode. So, I have now run it for two 14 hour days; I get up by 0400 and run the light continuously until 1800 hours, 6 PM. I have now confirmed it will run two days with battery to spare, ~1.5 bars. When I shut it off yesterday (after two 14 hour days) it showed 2 of 5 bars on the battery but when I plugged in the charger the second LED was blinking so I figure I had about 1.5 bars left.I wear it all day, with all other lights in my 3200 sq. ft. shop shut off unless I need to light up a work area. I'm seeing a noticeable decrease in my KwH electric usage. I'm estimating $80-$120 decrease per month. This thing will pay for itself in less than two months. I'm in California where I'm paying 42 cents per KwH, sometimes as high as 65 cents in the summer. YMMV.

Great light, but know your needs.
It’s a great light, but I prefer the Swift RL. If you are running, hiking the NaoRL is great because it is well balanced and feels very lightweight. However, if you’re like me and put it on and off throughout the day using it for various tasks around the house or walking the dog, I think the Swift is a better choice. The light output on the top end isn’t that much different between them. The Swift is way easier to put on and adjust without any fuss, the Nao needs a bit more fiddling around with to get it right. The Nao’s reactive lighting seems much more sensitive to the point it is annoying, light then dark, back and forth constantly. I already have the Swift, but needed a second light so got the Nao. I regret it and wish I’d got another Swift.

Awesome headlamp
I have owned several generations of Petzl NAO headlamps. They have always been great, but this one is even better. Light weight, bright, reactive and easy to use and decent battery life. They got rid of some of the silly features like blue tooth, and made the charging connection usb-c. Definitely worth the money if you want to get outside at night.

Best headlamp I have used to date!
I had zero issues setting up the head lamp. Running in the dark is not a problem anymore, just in time for the cold dark months! Looking forward to getting many miles of use out of this headlamp.

The light stopped working after few days use
The media could not be loaded. I bought this head lamp for an Ultra race, it failed me, it worked only the first 3 days, then the power on/off button stopped responding, the battery and red backlight are fine, but the main head light seems to have a problem after few days use. My friends recommended this model/band, unfortunately it didnt work well for me.
