I upgraded the stereo of my 2016 Honda Civic EX with this unit. I emailed the seller for instructional videos as well as looked up videos on YouTube on how to remove my current stereo and install similar android stereos. I have no experience with car upgrades or installation of this sort and I was able to install it myself! It’s such an upgrade from the factory stereo! The quality is great, it feels high tech like newer car models. The connection seems great so far from some initial use. I’m hopeful this stereo will last me for quite some time! You may need the canbus and harness to maintain your factory settings for the back up camera and steering wheel, at which point I recommend asking the seller for some assistance there.

I’ve been wanting to upgrade the stock radio for a while now. I have a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport and it came with the ugly little box screen. I absolutely love my car but I don’t like some of the features the package comes with. I found this radio for a decent price and it’s plug and play so nothing too complicating where I would need a mechanic or something so I went with this radio. I can honestly say it’s worth the upgrade. Be sure to order the harness and canbus if you have the big screen radio like I did. Based off everyone else’s review’s and the sellers comments in the description I was able to find it without asking the seller that way I didn’t need to wait extra time. You do need to contact the seller to set the reverse camera and the steering wheel controls but he/she responded back to me within 12 hours. Be sure to request instructions before installing the radio bc I did cause a short circuit and had to replace a fuse in my car. I’m very happy with the radio. The screen is very large and I can use AppleCar Play which was the only thing I desired most for my car. I do wish the camera quality was a tad bit better and that the microphone wasn’t so far away but you can attach the additional mic and just put in closer to the steering wheel. But other than that I’m very satisfied. The seller was very helpful in the set up process. 100% recommend if you want to upgrade your radio.

Like most, I was attracted to the price and all of the five star reviews. Amazon puts the review section pretty far down, so all I saw was the 4. Something up top and thought I was getting a good deal to give my wife car play. Let me also say that I have NEVER left a review, so let that speak to how absolutely awful this product is. If I could leave no stars, I would’ve done that. But unfortunately, I can’t. So please enjoy this rant, and I sincerely hope this sways you into not buying whatever the hell this thing is.First off, there are no instructions. Literally none. It’s cheaply made, the connections don’t work, if they even go in all the way. The amount of effort we had to put in to get one of the connections loose was ridiculous. We were watching about 5 other YouTube videos on how to install this thing, and it was just a mess.Second off, it doesn’t come with all of the parts. If you read the other reviews, you’ll find out that in order to receive the other parts, you have to leave a 5 star review. I had to buy the other stuff because I didn’t know about that 5 star review stuff, and I really really wish I would’ve read the reviews.Third off, I believe this product is a scam. I have never been so disappointed In a product before. And we didn’t even get it all the way turned on. When we did? No car play! And that was the only reason I got it! It was straight android.Fourth off, all I wanted to do was give my wife car play. And now I have to go explain to her that this thing is not it. I love my wife very much and I am incredibly disappointed about the time, money, and emotions wasted on this product.So please, if you read this far, don’t make the same mistakes I did. Do not be swayed by the other great reviews, you’ll end up returning this. And if you already bought it, and are looking through the reviews to see what the hell you just bought, I’m sorry. The media could not be loaded. Stereo worked perfectly and all factory settings work, a good tip when installing and I seen a few errors with some people for the factory camera follow this- factory setting > (8888) > backup source setting > set it to Cvbis I believe it’s the first option. If you choose 720p or other options the factory camera won’t work so chose the first one if you want the reverse camera to work (don’t forget to press confirm). Sound quality was the best gave my car a bass I never knew it had lol. CarPlay is all I needed great price and good quality. I definitely recommend this product especially if your installing it yourself.

Once installed successfully, this is an amazing affordable product that can really elevate your car. I really missed CarPlay in my Honda Civic and saw it as my car’s greatest deficiency. CarPlay works as advertised both wirelessly and with a cabled connection! The installation is a little challenging though. For removing my existing stereo, I referenced a YouTube video titled “Honda Civic 2016 2021 Radio Removal” and it’s a lot harder and requires more force than it looks. I did need to purchase separate pry tools since I found that the tool provided isn’t sufficient. For wiring and installing the new stereo, I referenced a YouTube video titled “SIXWIN Android Stereo for Honda Civic with CarPlay Android Auto complete assembly setup and install”. There were some minor differences between the product I received and the product in the video (see YouTube comments) but the install was similar. Once installed, setup was pretty easy for steering wheel controls (Factory Settings, Can (typo for Car) Settings, Raise, Select your car), camera (Factory Settings, Backcar source, CVBS), and removing the Podafo icon (Podafo voice app, remove voice assistant icon). Overall it’s a great product for the price!

Everything fits into place in my 2019 Honda Civic LX. Only thing I need is the Canbus box and Wiring Harness but I emailed the vendor and they are taking care of sending me the parts for free! Definitely the “CarPlay” system you’d think of having in your car if your car did not already come with it!
