MISS OLIVE'S Chicken Pasta Parmesan with Tomato Sauce Microwavable Meal (Pack of 3)

For an MRE these are pretty great. They aren't loaded with salt,thank goodness. There are real pieces of white chicken meat in there and the pasta and sauce taste good. The portion is a little on the small side - I think a guy could easily eat 2 for a meal. I keep these on hand because there's no food delivery out where I live and it seems like all frozen dinners are so heavy on sodium that I can't stomach them!

I only gave it 3 stars for the following reasons. The food is good, and I had hoped to use it as a replacement for a full blown dinner. I ordered the variety pack and liked having the option of trying the different meals. The portions are small, low in carbs and sodium. Exactly what I was looking for. I happily ordered my 2 favorites, chicken parm and beef and lentils. When I opened the chicken parm, I was shocked. There was hardly anything in the tray! I counted 7 pieces of pasta and 4 small chunks of chicken. The major ingredient was the sauce which took up t3/4 of the tray. I was most disappointed. It seems as if Ms Olive hooks you with a chock-full tray in the variety pack and then disappoints you when you re-order. Won't be ordering again...

The flavor is good, I find myself adding more protein to bulk it up a little bit. It's easy though because it doesn't take fridge space.

No diet aftertaste

Too much sauce. Good taste.

Chicken meat is tough. Tomato sauce is bland - cries out for herbs like basil and oregano. Pasta is neither whole wheat nor al dente. Hardly any fiber in this dish. Won’t be buying it again. I gave the unopened ones to my neighbors for their dogs since dogs tend to like being treated to people food now and then.
