In the ad, it shows you being able to connect a streaming box to an older tv. While, yes, you can connect it, it doesnt show any picture. This is, apparently, due to the fact that you need a converter and this is just a transmitter. If you are trying to connect an hdmi device to an older tv or something else that only accepts rca plugs, just search amazon for hdmi to rca converter. Look for the ones that include a small box as part of the device. If its just a wire with the different connectors at each end, it wont work. I purchased a converter and its now working.

Although the product was still good quality it just did not work for what I bought them for. I guess since technology has advance to much these produces are starting to not work with new technology

I see reviews saying it works for your old vintage VCR. Haven't tried but what's not to like

Tried to connect FireTV stick to older TV - it didn't work.Old DVD player works on the same connection, stick works with new TV, so I know it's this cable. Returned

If I had to describe these cables with one word, it would have to be passable. It worked for what I needed it to, but after just setting it up three times (I've used it when traveling to connect my laptop to certain hotel TV's) they're already showing wear and tear of cables I've been using for 5+ years and I've had these less than three months.So if you need a quick fix or something to use while you wait for better, more durable cables to come in these will work. But for a long term solution with a more reliable connection (with constant use, those frail wires will wear out on their own) get something gold plated, really gold plated with a heavier gauge cable.
