I've owned a few pairs of Hunters over the years and I get so much wear out of them, but this is my first shorter length pair, and I have to say I love them! Not only are they a hundred times easier to get on/off than the longer length ones, but I actually think they look better on someone who doesn't have endless supermodel type legs (I'm only 5’5”). These are just perfect over a pair of skinny jeans during festival season, and for the practically everyday wet Scottish weather to. Word of warning though, if you're purchasing these as a fashion item, don't wear them in shops etc with slippy floors, as you will end up with one very sore backside! A perfect fit (as always with this brand), reasonably priced and arrived a couple days after ordering. Well pleased.

I bought my Hunter boots just under two years ago and they have proven to be comfortable and reliable. I usually wear an 8G shoe, and have a narrow heel but slightly wide feet. The fit of these boots in an 8 is perfect for me and they are comfortable for walks of several miles over varied terrain. Taking them off can involve a couple of attempts as they are quite snug in the heel but that is what makes them good to walk in. I prefer the shorter length to the regular size, as they feel less cumbersome. Overall, they are everything I look for in a wellington boot and compare very favourably with some cheaper alternatives that I have tried in the past, particularly as far as the fit is concerned. Recommended.

I’ve had Hunter wellies before (a long time ago) so I thought I’d get a shortie pair for slipping on quickly to walk the dog.I’m a regular size 5 and my feet aren’t broad but I do have wider calves (hence buying a shorter pair)The fit was not good. I slipped them on without socks and they felt as though they were a perfect fit - if I was wearing them with bare feet! With a sock - even a thin one...forget it. As for the calf...the boot kind of scrunched down a centimetre or two, meaning eventually they’ll split.I’ve given them 5 stars because honestly if I’d have had a 6 or 6.5 they would have been perfect, and they’re expensive if after one walk I couldn’t wear them again. The media could not be loaded. So happy with my purschase. I was a little bit sceptical ordering Hunters from anywhere other than their own website, however I saved myself about £20 in doing so and the wellies came in the Hunter Box with the care instructions. The wellies are true to size, and I placed the order on Monday morning with Free Delivery; it arrived on Wednesday afternoon! Really happy and would honestly recommend them to anyone.

My comment would be to avoid unauthorised stockist of Hunter Boots. My boots started to crack at seam at the back of the boot then a few weeks later across the front of the feet, after 3 to 4 months. LEGENDS reply to warranty claim: no claim could be made under wear and tear rule of the term warranty. I purchased from another retailer a mens pair and they are still going strong. X
