Cardinal Red Floor Tile Paint - Excellent Product - Really does the job!
Particularly concerned to have a non-slip surface on our front threshold step tiles. This product foots the bill perfectly. It is easy to apply and produces a great polished but slightly fine-gritty surface on the tiles of a deep "cardinal" red. The paint dries quickly and is foot-ready within a couple of hours. Due to the slight gritty surface it is important to give the paint a really good stir before application to evenly distribute the grit. The surface produced masks any slight imperfections on the tile surface e.g. cracks or chips so makes the tiles look great. So far so good - let's see how well it lasts in the British Summer and Winter.

Excellent step paint .
I have used a lot of step paint in my time and this is by far the best but you have to be very careful to rub down very well .I used an electric sander and a scraper and strong sandpaper .The paint is easy to apply but you must stir constantly to disperse the bits in it .I did 2 coats and it looks amazing and is non slip .I did one step about 3 months ago and its still very good even after horrendous rain and grandchildren racing up and down .Would definately recommend .

Great paint.
We used this in both the mid grey and tile red to recreate a 1930s look on our stairs and hallway. Goes down really nicely and very cleanly. Definitely needs two coats as stated though because chipping off is a real problem. Also be sure to stir well and reload your brush often. Be careful to not go over a wet painted section too heavily or you'll find that you paint out the non-slip granules and leave a shiny patch in your finish. Coverage is excellent, on old primed wood it's at least as much as stated on the tin and probably a bit more. The non slip finish is very grippy, good result.

Lovely rich red
It took a while to dry but that could have been due to the weather conditions at the time, my doorstep looks much better since I’ve painted it.

Does what it claims to do
I have used this paint on wooden stairs which were already painted with a regular gloss. This made the stairs slippery hence my decision to purchase an anti slip paint after falling down and hurting my back. I applied the paint over the old paint which was perhaps not the right thing to do. As a result, it took a good 12 hours for the paint to dry. However, once dry it was absolutely fine and the stairs are no longer slippery. I applied a second coat a couple of weeks later and it took only 6 hours to dry. The stairs are used extensively on a daily basis and there has been no flaking of the paint. The result is perfect.

Made the front doorstep safe.
I had previously used some Step and tile paint on the doorstep. It left a nice glossy finish. However, when wet, became a slippery surface. My wife was lucky not to become injured!I have put this paint on the doorstep now. No more slipping!
