Cover it with foil
I bought this to replace the tray which came with the HY sapentia oven (which is used every day and is a brilliant small oven which has heat above and below with circulating fan (among other things and works like an sir fryer). However, back to the tray. Manufacturer recommends covering with foil to aid clean up and I know why. Even washing regularly it became almost impossible to clean without scrubbing. I decided to start from new and replaced it. I now cover it with foil and don’t have a problem. I will be buying spares of other shelving soon although the tray was the only one which needed replacing, it’s always worth having spares.

Good Air fryer, but can be difficult to clean!
The Oven is a joy to use - the cleaning of the oven and the black tray is an absolute nightmare. I have ordered a replacement black tray and will start covering it with foil!

They were too big for my airfryer. So I returned it.

The tray is exactly the same as the one that comes with the HYSapienta fryer. It is quite thin metal and not very robust. I think the enamel covering is quite thin too so I wouldn't want to scrub it hard. However it fits the fryer perfectly and does the job.
