iam not so sure, but anyway. the battery its only for backup. just in case the power go out. the battery keep the robot sticked to the windows.

Will this work for car windshields ?

Does it have a compartment for water? Or ypu have to wet the pads?

No water compartment-we just spray some Windex on the pads. Damp but not really wet seems to work best.
