TimexMen's Command Encounter 54mm Watch

Probably a good watch if you can get it to work.No instructions included. You must go online and look up instructions.Name of instructions different from name of watch.Instructions pretty obviously translated from Japanese.Instructions for setting super complicated and with the imprecise language I simply could not get the watch to show the correct time.Gave up after about an hour of messing with it.I regret this purchase.

I was a little apprehensive with the purchase of this watch because every review I read lamented the fact that it was an incredibly hard product to set up.It is not. While there is no instruction manual included in the box, you can find a digital version through Timex's product page. Setting it up is not the easiest thing in the world, but I managed to get my local time, date, day, and world time up and running in no time.I got this watch because I'm obsessed with a certain aesthetic. I love products that look like they come from an alternate future where humanity was in outer space by the early 80's. This watch would fit RIGHT in strapped to a chunky EVA suit. Especially the tan color variant.I've never owned a G-shock watch, but I'll be the first to admit that this watch does bear a striking resemblance to the Casio classic. Doesn't really bother me. I found the product independently after searching for watches that fit the aesthetic I mentioned earlier.LOOK AT IT! IT LOOKS LIKE ELLEN RIPLEY HAS THIS WATCH IN HER DESK DRAWER!

Three stars and the headline read 'GREAT BUT"?...... Allow me to explain. The watch is what I expected; fits perfectly on my wrist and looks great. So why the 3 stars?? It has to do with the setup. First, there are no user instructions included with the watch. Timex did include with the watch a user information tiny manual. All it tells you (in several languages) is to log in to the Timex website to see/or download the user manual. It's not complicated to get to the Timex website; the instructions are not hard to read. I must-have spent over 3 hours trying to set it up. I even called the Tmex support number which did not provide me with the solution (however, the gentleman who answered was very nice and professional and he really tried to help me; but even he said this was a brand-new watch and he was not very familiar with the set-up). I got to the point where I said tomorrow, I will return the watch. At around 8pm, the day of the arrival of the watch, I decided to pack it up and send it back. The following day I said, let me give it the old college try again. I read the downloaded instructions 3 times to make sure I understood all the steps; Well God and luck were on my side because within 1/2 hour I had set up the watch. So, what was the problem? Pressing too hard and too long the corresponding adjustment (A, B, C, D) buttons, mistaking the D button for the B button and not taking the time to read the small screen where the information is displayed. Why Timex made the screen display so small, I would like to know. I love the watch and the way it looks. Would I recommend it, yes BUT, be forewarned that it may be tricky to set it up. Also, the Indigo night light is not like on other Timex watches which Lites up the entire watch face; this one just Lites up the date and secondhand screens (unless I did not set it up right). But all hour markings on the face watch glow at night and during the day you will have no problem reading the time nor the date calendar.

I'm a timex guy my whole life, so setting the time was very easy for me. I don't know why but I miss the second hand, wish it had one. The digital screen is ok but it's blocked by the other two hands regularly, no big deal but I don't love it. Also the indiglo light only lights up the digital time I wish it lit the whole face. I wear it constantly even to work and the face has remained unscratched which is impressive. I wish I could give it 5 stars because it deserves it, I like it in every other way, I'm sure many people out there love it, if you're on the fence it here are a few things I do love....The size is nice and large, the band still has two holes available even on my large wrist, I get compliments on it (it's just a timex lol) and I don't sweat a few seconds either way, I'm not saying it's inaccurate I'm saying it's something I've never checked it's not that important to me. Without testing the accuracy it seems perfectly well timed as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't purchase it again but I don't regret buying it.

I owned several time pieces. I consider myself a collector. I owned couple of Timex but I’ve always been skeptical of their quality. Yes, I know they are inexpensive but quality should still exist.I purchased this watch because it looks great. At first I was impressed because it looked great and felt great on my wrist until during a rainy day the inside got condensation. Few days later the bezel came off. Luckily I was able to return it a got my money back.I would not recommend it to anyone.Junk!

So first watch came in and the minute hand would get stuck between 12-3, 2nd watch came in and it's amazing. It can be tricky to set up, but once you understand what time you are setting it's easy. Just know world time does not set the minute and hour hand, you gotta set that separately under time.

I like the design but It's really difficult to set up the time and synchronize it.I had to open the back case to set up manually

You can't go wrong with a Timex watch. This is a great looking watch with great features and it looks good on your wrist also. It can be a bit difficult to set but follow the instructions and you'll be impressing people around you in no time ( no pun intended) Timex, always great quality and looks!
