Not worth the money, hopefully the seller will make this right
12 of the seeds float indicating they will not germinate. Only 9 will germinate. Beware

Half the seeds are defective
Half the seeds floated to the top when put in water indicating they will not germinate. How the heck do you return these seeds? There should be a way for the seller to simply replace them. I have pictures showing them floating. Not happy with this purchase.

give them time, manage expectations, grow in SUN
There were a couple of extra seeds, but I was satisfied with germination rate of the ones I have germinated so far. It has been about a week, I think. I noticed that one is very late in sprouting, compared to the others.I liked that the seeds were opened at the end, but it seems like it may affect viability of stored seeds.I tried this before and the plants died. I kept them in water on a window sill after there were leaves. This time, I will pot them up in heavy clay soil--barely pressing into the surface of the soil, and will fill the pot (no drainage holes) with water, and I will add "pond tablet" fertilizer, as directed I have seen several youtube videos. I have seen that a spoonful of balanced (like 10-10-10 fertilizer can be folded up in paper to make a "sachet" that will release the fertilizer over time. I may try that and compare to the pond tablets.I do not expect these to bloom this year, but I do expect them to provide lots of nasturtium-type leaves this summer in a patio pond.I recommend that anyone purchasing these seeds look to youtube and watch videos to learn about planting and care.If anyone got flowers in the first season, I would be amazed. These seeds are fascinating to watch develop. I do recommend changing g the water daily until they are planted in soil.update--one month--i have potted them in clay soil and put outside in small pond. Doing great. Not expecting flowers.

It is just a packet of seeds
Ok. So, I am giving this a three because the advertising is misleading. All the pictures lead you to believe that you are getting a kit. I wrongly assumed I would get a bowl, seeds, and some instructions. You get a packet of seeds and that's it. I will not go on the internet and research how to grow lotus flowers from seeds. I don't know at this point if the seeds are any good, but in 7 to 10 days perhaps I can do a follow up review and see how well they germinated. Good luck out there...be clear about what you are getting!9/8/2023 11 of 13 seeds have germinated.
