good dates
These are jujube dates, not to be confused with Medjool Dates as they are two very different type of dates. Jujube dates normally dehydrated, they are not meant to be eaten dry straight out of the box, though it can be tasty to do so. Rather, jujube dates are meant for cooking. They are great to add to soup broth or dessert as they add a natural sweetness. The dates that come with this package are good quality, they appear fresh and clean, ready to be eat without needing to rinse. When eaten dry, they have a spongy texture and are mildly sweet. They rejuvenate when slow cooked in a broth for an extended of time. Once cooked, they will have become plump with soft meat and taste sweet. I normally cook them to extract the flavor for the broth but I don't really eat a lot of the dates. I think the dates in this product are great and good quality and they work well for my dishes. I'm happy with them.

Chewy dried fruit snacks
My wife and I have never had this kind of dates before, but we like "regular" dates (or the kind most people in the US probably think of when you talk about dates). I agree with others who have said it kind of reminds them of dried apple, so it's not a bad flavor. I think we still prefer "regular" dates so I'm not sure if I will be ordering more of these, but I also wouldn't see any reason not to order them if that's what you're looking for.More importantly though, if anyone knows how we're supposed to pronounce the brand name of these things, please let me know! We might have had more fun using this brand name as a topic of conversation than we had eating the dates themselves. Our friends and I have decided ZCFIKJ is a creative mask for a curse word instead of using symbols like "$&@*ing dates". So, live long and enjoy your ZCFIKJ dates!

Jujubes are not really dates even though they are often called red dates
These jujubes are dried and have small pits in them. The outside skin has a slight crunch to them while the insides are a bit more dry and chewy. They have a bit of a dried apple taste and are fairly sweet.I haven’t quite decided yet if I would enjoy eating them straight out of the bottle like this. Although they are good, they don’t quite have a flavor that I would be drawn towards. I think that these dried jujubes would work great in salads or mixed nuts when cut into smaller chunks to give a little boost of sweetness and slight crunchy chewiness texture. There are several recipes where they are used in soups for their medicinal properties or added into oatmeal and other cereals. As for branding, these dried dates are a bit suspect. They looked to be generic with an odd sounding name and the nutrition labels seems to be incomplete. My bottle came with a seal but the glue used to hold down the seal was no longer sticking so not very tamper proof.I took a chance and tried the jujubes any way.

Misleading. NOT USDA ORGANIC!!!!!!!
I chose these dates because the pictures claimed they are USDA Certified Organic. Well, it was a lie! The bottle arrived and it looks very unprofessional AND it does NOT have the certified organic USDA seal anywhere. That means it is not certified which is why they are not legally allowed to print that on their packaging. I will not consume these as I cannot trust them. Very misleading and disappointing that they lie to make a sale.

Pitted and not sealed well.
Watch for the pits. I was a bit hesitant to try these as the lid isn’t safety sealed; there’s really no excuse for this. But they are as expected, dried and chewy and a bit tough and slightly sweet. There are better options available.

Not like traditional dates
I love dates and I was excited to try this. The dates are a bit different than traditional dates. Traditional dates are very sweet and has a tacky chewy sticky consistency. These dates are more mealy and look like a fruit almost the same as an apple. The dates has a tiny seed in the middle. These dates are not as sweet as traditional dates.

very good
I like dried jujubes. They are not nearly as sweet as the dates, with just a hint of sweetness. I like them as they are, but they can be used in recipes, too. They came in a clear plastic jar and arrived in perfect shape.

First time trying
This is my first time trying these Jujube dates so I don't have anything to compare them to. They said dates and I really like dates so I figured I'd give them a try.The lid on our container was tight but the seal underneath was loose. They smelled okay and didn't seem off so the last two nights I've tried them. My initial impression was that I didn't like them much. Too dry and a bit of an aftertaste to them. That didn't improve much the second night. I don't dislike them, but they aren't satisfying to me like a date is.
