I put this on a G-SHOCK GA-B2100-1A1JF in black with a black face that I bought on pre-sale when it came out from Japan. I'm not really a watch guy, but I do like G-SHOCKS and can appreciate a good watch. I bought this because I am relatively hard on my gear and, let's face it, it looks cool. Install was simple. After several months of several days a week use doing house work, yard work, shooting/outdoors stuff, work in the medical field, there is some wearing of the black coating on the metal of this item, but nothing that isn't easily fixed with a paint pen sharpie. If you're into patina, then the propensity to wear is probably a plus. It does a good job of protecting the watch face from all but direct impact. I haven't attempted to take this off of the watch, but not sure it would present any difficulty. I did but a set of aftermarket band adapters so I can use 22 mm NATO straps and this item complements the blak finished metal buckles of the NATO strap well.

The wire bumper (bull bar) broke at the weld when I first tried to install it on my watch. When I wore the watch, the break in the bumper would scratch the skin making the watch unwearable with the bumper installed. I'm returning this bumper and looking for another brand.

Does the job. Added a tempered glass screen and this to my G-Shock. Now I have a super sturdy daily driver watch.
