Exceptional book
This is the most mind-blowing book I've ever read, just speechless. I thought I'd learn a lot about death since the author used to be an anthropologist, but it's also really funny and moving. I read all the books about death and grief I can get my hands on and there's no other book like this.

"What is grief, if not love persevering?"
Whether you've lost a relative, a friend, a lover, or an ancient cat, you'll know that the grieving process is a strange old thing. Different for everyone but almost always - despite those famous seven stages - non-linear.So really, playwright Naomi Westerman's Happy Death Club is a perfect reflection on grief and death taboos, hopping as it does from erudite film theory to extracts from an autobiographical play, from emotional breakdowns in Mexico, to death cafes in Greenwich, via multiple rat burials in a spirited attempt to vex future archaeologists.Moving, amusing, and always surprising, this slim essay collection is well worth a read for anyone who's ever lost anyone. And for those of you who haven't, well, you will, so keep a copy on hand, eh?
