My original filter cover eventually broke and Dyson sent me a replacement came in 2 parts (to avoid having to remove the plug to install it) however it was very fragile and broke just fitting it. They duly sent another replacement which lasted all of 4 weeks. Now they want to charge £35 for a replacement for their shoddy item so I thought I would try this one.This one seems great. Easy to fit and not half as fiddly as the Dyson one. Feels more substantial too. Feeling very hopeful this will last a lot longer.

This item has only been fitted 3 weeks and the moulding has started cracking and breaking away.The tooling used to produce the moulding is not correct, leading to ultra thin sections that are used to”lock” the unit in place. Total poor quality, and not worth the price charged. Would not buy this particular item again.

Called Dyson hoping they’d send out a new outer considering I was less than 60 days out of the warranty, but no. To my horror they said it’d cost £90 to order a new one, and more if I sent it in for repair. Apparently it’s not easy to fit, so would need to take it to a repair shop, which would mean even more money. Disappointed, I said I’d think about it and get back to them. In the meanwhile, saw a YouTube video on how to install the Dyson outer and stumbled upon this little beauty! A fraction of the price, and more importantly, very simple to fit without having to unscrew this and pull out that. Why Dyson hasn’t got this solution baffles me! Anyhow, very happy. Shame on you Dyson!

My wife's filter cover had been hanging off a couple of years and Dyson do not offer a replacement part for the original Supersonic, so I went in search of something to remedy this!Fitting took a a couple of minutes; aligning the clips was a little fiddly. I did fit incorrectly the first time! Once around the cord, fitting the cover to the handle is very easy to do, and it feels more robust than the original Dyson part.Only four stars as I think the price is a little steep for what it is.Overall, good quality and a better fit than the original part.

Got this 5 months ago and it fitted and was perfect, the reason for the low stars is that 5 months later it is broken, I did not expect it to last a lifetime, however 5 months is unacceptable, also I can't find anyway to contact the seller to try and resolve the issue.

Bought this for my Dyson hairdryer replacement filter. It was terrible. Didn’t click closed didn’t fit and then it just snapped in two. There were much cheaper ones on Amazon but I thought by buying the more expensive one was best. How thing I was. Money down the drain.

I couldn't figure out why my dyson blow dryer kept shutting off to the point that I packed it away for several years. I ran into it a week ago and decided to google what the problem might be. It seemed everyones problem with this happening had to do with the filter. I took a chance and bought this filter and to my delight, it now works like a charm. Such a cheap fix for a $400 blow dryer!

Very happy with my replacement filter cover. I was surprised that the original one from Dyson broke down so quickly. The replacement seems much sturdier and is working well.
