Dunlop 272 Blues Bottle Slide, Clear, Regular Wall Thickness, Medium

The media could not be loaded. Good slide. What can you say about a slide? I bought this to try out that medicine bottle shape that so many slide players made popular. It appears to be of high quality and well made. I'm still very new to the slide thing, and am still experimenting to see what I find most comfortable and most pleasing to the ear. The shape is not necessarily for me, as there is a good amount of space for movement within the slide itself. It fits snugly over my knuckle, but the extra space within the slide itself between my finger and the glass feel strange and will take some getting used to. Gonna keep at it and hopefully I find a slide that works well for me. Hopefully this one works well for you, as for me the search continues!

Nice slide. I like them light and thin walled so I can feel the strings, this fits the bill. Wonberful tone.

I purchased a blues bottle slide awhile ago. Loaned it out to a friend of mine..never saw it again. I guess that means he liked it ha! Well, I liked it so much that I just let him have it and decided I'd just buy another one for me. It works absolutely fantastic, I love the sound of a blues bottle slide on my guitar AND it's not very expensive to get which makes my wallet feel pretty good too.

The slide is as described, but there are other resources that will provide the same effect at a cheaper cost. Still, the slide fits and functions as it should giving that bluesy sound of guitar effects. Looks good on stage and is very durable.

For all the dolts who complained about the size... Be aware that that's how they are. If you know about slide and how to play you'd know these medicine bottle slides are always loose to fit. By using your supporting fingers adjacent to the one you chose to place the slide on, you get a comfortable grip. Slide is all about dampening and tonality.. BE AWARE. Great little thing but a bit smaller than the original corricidian bottles. ENJOY!

I have medium sized hands. I will probably purchase the Large size in the future. This one fits very well but I can see an advantage to having a larger size in regards to comfort when using it for longer periods of time.

I play acoustic, with relatively low action. I bought this because I wanted to try the most traditional slide first. The tone is nice, very clean and clear, and it's lightweight and fits my ring finger well. Sustain is OK. But it's really uncomfortable when it's on my pinkie (I have long, slender fingers with big knuckles) because the internal diameter of the bottle is too large to stay in place comfortably. The closed bottle top is nice for when I use it on my ring finger.I've since purchased the Dunlop 232 Lrg Harris slide, which I like a LOT more. I may yet purchase the 231 (Harris med) for pinkie playing, as the 232 is still a bit uncomfortable. I'm getting used to it, though.
