If you’re like me and think you’re just gonna get this kit and start pulling dents - forget about it. There’s definitely a certain level of practice and skill required. It took a lot more tries than I was expecting. However, I was able to get it to work eventually. Just keep trying.Instructions said plastic tabs must be soaked in alcohol for 3 hours before first use which I did not do at first. I guess to remove the oils left behind from the manufacturing process. I had the same trouble as many others where the glue would not stick well to the tabs. But after soaking them I found that they held a lot better. So definitely don’t skip this step.Temperature also has a lot to do with it. First attempts were outdoors on a 30 degree day and were total failures. Moving into a heated shop and using a heat gun to warm the panel and the tab before use increased my success rate a lot.Tools are cheap, cheesy Chinese junk - but that’s what I expected going in. You get what you pay for. One thing this kit is lacking: no push bars. I thought I could just pull everything with glue tabs but quickly realized that often times - the best approach is to get behind the dent and push the metal. I ended up buying another kit that was mostly push bars to complement this kit.But with all that said - given some patience you CAN make this system work for the occasional DIY body repairs. And you’ll learn a lot about PDR techniques to help guide you in the future to know what more expensive tools you need and what you don’t need. So, 3 stars for a good, inexpensive introductory PDR kit.
