My Silver Sky SE had no cosmetic defects except for a tiny hole on one inlay. The frets ends were not sharp, but a lot of high spots when checked using a fret rocker. Setup was very high at the nut and bridge. Lower frets were buzzing, due to frets 2,3,4 being high. With the neck adjusted to straightedge, before fret leveling, there was about a. 005 backbow from about the 3rd fret to the first that can not be adjusted out , so the neck wasn't straight. I had to compensate by taking extra material(.004") off frets 2,3,4 during a full fret leveling. Replaced the 10's with 9's and floated the bridge. The neck is a deep c vintage profile, a little beefier than the Mexican Fender Strats, with a rough satin finish. I smoothed it out with some superfine sandpaper, feels really nice now. Pickups sound fine and stays in tune after nut work and lube. Not set up very well at factory when compared to a few Se's I purchased in the past. Seems like Cort is cutting corners on quality. Nice player after setup, but not out of the box like some YouTubers say. The gig bag is really nice.
