Saves my wrists.
Works very well to mix paints used for models even if they have stood for a long time. Not really for larger rattle spray cans.

Expensive, and not really a paint mixer, but probably still the best available.
Seems to do the job but well-settled paints still need quite a time on this to mix up, even with a ball. Really this device is designed for quickly mixing liquids, not what is really a solid within a liquid - you still need some hand shaking. On the other hand, it's really solid and works reliably. It's obscenely expensive for what it is but so are the 'cheap' ones and this probably is worth 3x a 'cheap' version.

Better than the cheaper
One of the things you get what you pay for good quality and speed

Long Term Investment
I've been a model painter for many years and shaking paint bottles does not get any easier. This device is the solution. Modellers often have paints they don't use regularly and take a lot of stirring. This device is the answer. There are less expensive versions but my research led me to pick this one. It's not cheap but definitely worth saving your money to buy. Highly recommended.

Good - but not perfect.
I was very impressed when my :- "FOUR E'S SCIENTIFIC 5600rpm Vortex Mixer Paint Mixer with Extra Silicone Cap and 100pcs Mixing Balls Touch Function Lab Vortex Shaker for Lab Inks Acrylic Paints Nail Polish" arrived today. (phew - thats some product description) !The "mixer" (for short!) is very solidly made and is surprisingly heavy. The 3 legged base is a good design feature as it gives (the mixer) very good stability on any surface that may be less than perfectly flat. If it had a flat base (or more then 3 legs) it would loose its excellent "tripod" stability and its ability to compensate for any slightly undulating surfaces - and this is very important for a small vibrating vessel that runs at 5600rpm.Despite the heavy tripod base, and having a good rubber pad on each foot, my mixer "walked" (vibrated) across my bench in use and so it was important to keep hold of it with my free hand (the other hand is holding the paint pot onto the pad) to keep it in place - not a problem - but worth mentioning that mixing with this device may not be a one handed operation. The flexible pad that the container/pot is pushed onto (to activate the vibrator) grips the container well, but it marks fairly easily so it will not keep its pristine blue look for too long. I have no experience with the other colour pads - maybe a darker colour pad would look cleaner for longer? The machine runs nice and quietly and feels well engineered. My worry about this device mainly concerns the availability of "product support" if it should be needed in the future, in particular the fact that the manufacturer/supplier has confirmed that it is not possible to buy any spare flexible pads.......unless bought in the deal that comes with a spare pad and 100 mixing balls.Time will tell, but my thoughts are that this pad could be the "weak link" and that the manufacturer/supplier should offer it as a consumable spare part.Even if the flexible pad turns out to be "totally indestructible" and "lasts forever", I can already see after less than an hours use that it will get dirty and (If for no other reason) it would be nice to be able to buy a nice clean replacement pad now and again to keep this good looking device looking smart and clean. My other concern is that this "mixer" needs its own dedicated power supply and that it will not run from a standard USB supply (see manufacturers answer to my question asking about this).Let's hope that it will be possible to buy a replacement power supply as a spare part if mine should fail after the manufacturers 2 year warranty expires? My mixing experience with this device so far has not been totally impressive.I tried mixing some Tamiya acrylic model paint prior to painting a model with it. I usually just stir the paint with a lolly stick or shake it (sometimes both) until it is well mixed, and I had hoped that this device would save me having to do this - and hopefully mix it better and faster too!Sadly this was not the case. After two 10 second bursts of mixing on this device, when I unscrewed the paint cap it was still "separated" showing that it had not mixed fully.I repeated this operated two more times and then a third and a fourth time (about 10 seconds each time) with the pot inverted - and it was still not mixed properly.Eventually I gave the paint a stir with a wooden "lolly stick" to complete the job.I will experiment with this superb looking device some more in the very near future, but my first experience of working with it is not totally convincing.

Does the job and silent
I loved it shake my miniature hobby paints (citadel, vallejo, army painter). There's a handy extra USB output to anything you want (like USB led light). The noise isn't loud, and works how it should. I recommend it. But I never tried other brands to compare. I'm happy with the purchase.

Very happy mixing my Vallejo paints
Does the job that I wanted, fast and effective. Its relatively quite too and I'm happy I ook the plunge and spent the extra on this over the cheaper alternatives. Mostly mixing vallejo paints
