A Game-Changer in the Dashboard Revolution! (3-4month review update)
****26 OCT 2024 Update****Once again I need to mention how AWESOME support is!!! If anyone says otherwise, they must not be aware support is out of China (12hr difference). You send them a WhatsApp message with ur issue and you will get your answer. I was helped by Niavdaohang. He is awesome! I'm not aware of any other product that gives you a 1:1 customer support by sending them a message. He sent me a video on the steps in needed for my issue!*******Purchased early Feb. Follow up review 31May2024********I still do not have any regrets for purchasing this dashboard! I'll list what I like and dislike...What I do NOT like1.) The manufacturer still needs to register the 4G with US carriers - you can't get a 4g card to work. (If someone has, I hope they post it.). Carriers will tell you the IMEI number is not registered!2.) I can't watch Netflix and Disney. The netflix app zooms in (since the screen is longer than it is wider. IF they came out with a 2.0 Swivel screen version - WOW!!!! that would be amazing! DisneyPlus app says it can't run on this old version.3.) I enabled password protection since I have some account apps. If you enable this feature, you must enter your PIN, immediately. If you don't, the screen goes black and you need to use a toothpick or needle to reset the radio.4.) I have not been able to get the hang of the split screen option. When I attempt to run Waze and MAX, and hold the button for split screen, I have to keep cycling until it works. Sometimes I give up.5.) Oh.... since the screen is high resolution, the backup camera looks very fuzzy, especially at night. The Great stuff...1.) You can really customize your dashboard anyway you like - it's just like using a tablet. (wish there was an update - some apps won't play because it says it's a discontinued version). Screen, apps, lock screen, time, apps, colors, etc...2.) Support is awesome! Keep in mind, you are using WhatsApp and speaking to someone in China - so you need to start a chat accordingly (I typically would send questions at 8-9 pm and receive almost immediate responses!3.) The movie streaming apps that work, work great and the picture and sounds is awesome. (I mainly use MAX - unfortunately, Netflix zooms in the movie so much, you can't see anything.)4.) There is a wow factor when people get into your vehicle.5.) You can customize with any color you want - screen and control buttons.Speaking of buttons - the power on the left is for the radio. The power on the right is for the fan/AC****************END OF 31May2024 Update review**********************(I did not review customer support because I haven't utilized them yet.) I will update you after I reach out to them with some questions. (I will remember that they are in China, and English is a second language).I deliberated for months about upgrading my car radio to the Qualcomm Android 11 Car Radio. My decision to go with this specific radio was well worth the contemplation! The installation process, which I completed in just a few hours, was surprisingly straightforward and rewarding. One critical piece of advice (for you) that will make the installation smoother (than mine) is to ensure compatibility with steering wheel controls before attempting any cable placement. I connected the cable and ended up removing it because it caused issues.) And this worked perfectly without it! (should have watched the entire video before attempting the install.)The 4G antennas and GPS devices posed the longest challenge during the installation, as I aimed to position them on top of the dashboard. The instructional video and insightful comments from others who have undertaken the process proved invaluable. Here are a few tips that might assist future installers:1.) Watch the Installation Video in Full:2.) Start unpackaging everything and laying the cables on a table before diving into the installation.3.) Follow the steps in the video and utilize the cable-type pamphlet.4.) Remove the old radio unit and remove the metal clamps carefully.5.) Place electrical tape under the new radio clamp locations for a tighter fit. (They all get replaced.)Cable Management:6.) Run all cables first, have them hanging, organized, zip-tied, etc, and then bring out the new radio for connection. This systematic approach ensures a smoother setup.7.) Skip the LVDS Cable:Following the advice from previous users, I skipped using the LVDS cable and encountered no issues; everything worked seamlessly from the start.(AFTER INSTALL)As for Android Auto (which I have always hated - it just limits you while you are driving), I found no need for it and disabled it both on the radio and my phone, preferring Bluetooth phone connectivity for calls. The Qualcomm Android 11 Car Radio functions like a versatile Android tablet, allowing a split screen (if you choose so) for running and viewing multiple apps simultaneously - perfect for a passenger watching a movie. At the same time, use the preferred navigation app. (OR whatever you choose to view.) You can't watch movies in full screen anyway - it's not like you can turn the screen sideways ;)The only hiccup I encountered was the absence of a cable for the factory backup camera. I plan to reach out to support for this, as I'd like to use the app even when not in reverse. The multitude of cables provided did not include this specific one. I also need to verify how to control the physical button colors.Navigating the various options took some time, but the result was a radio tailored to my preferences. I customized the look and feel, settling on the contemporary tablet mode.In terms of audio, I had a moment of static with the radio input, which was quickly rectified by using the steering radio controls to switch to "AUX." As for radio stations, I'm yet to explore local options, but I found success using a web login from my other vehicle for SiriusXM. (Per the instructions - DO NOT remove the CD player AND use the AUX dummy plug)In conclusion, the Qualcomm Android 11 Car Radio has exceeded my expectations. The plethora of features, customization options, and seamless functionality make this a must-have for any car enthusiast.I absolutely love my new radio and have no regrets about the investment or the DIY installation process. It's a game-changer in the dashboard revolution!I hope the details I've shared prove helpful in guiding your decision. Should you choose to acquire and install the Qualcomm Android 11 Car Radio yourself, I believe my insights will facilitate the process for you. This review is solely based on my personal experience, encompassing the purchase, installation, and usage, with no external influences shaping my opinion.Additionally, I have included some pictures for reference. As mentioned earlier, I positioned the GPS and 4G antennas on top of the dashboard, which worked effectively for me. Please don't be alarmed if you come across these unconventional installation photos – the process itself was surprisingly straightforward.Installing the Qualcomm Android 11 Car Radio was a remarkably easy task, and I trust that my experience will contribute positively to your decision-making process.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
It gets 1 star because of its appearance and because you’re FORCED to give 1 star at minimum. It deserves NEGATIVE STARS! It’s definitely NOT even CLOSE to being worth what they’re asking!!!! Super good idea, looks great, but the OS is garbage and the connectivity to anything is an absolute joke. Good sound quality, fits like OEM, screen clarity (resolution) is quality it does have a nice clear picture. There is ZERO customer support considering they’re located in Japan (12 hour time diff) and they will never return calls or emails. This head unit will not allow you to access factory vehicle features like the stock head unit, it will not allow you to use wifi and Bluetooth at the same time, will not work with Factory backup camera, the updating feature has been disabled. (Many many factory Android features are unavailable and/or removed) it’s a locked up tablet. CarPlay is okay when it wants to connect and when it does connect do not take your phone out of range otherwise you have to shut down the vehicle and reconnect on startup. On that note, there is NO way to turn off or even restart the tablet, that feature has also been disabled or removed. Only way to shut it down is shutting the vehicle off and it still doesn’t always shut completely down as you will never see a startup screen when powering on. The fact that the whole situation is ran through the AUX port is confusing and an absolute disgusting design.I could go on for DAYS about why I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to buy one of these but I’m not looking to write a book on it.Bottom line is, PLEASE don’t waste your money, you will be very disappointed in its actual function. It looks beautiful but please beware of its deception.

Great Screen, Smooth CarPlay, and Solid Support
9 months in and I still love this screen. It looks great, runs smoothly with CarPlay, and I get a lot of compliments on it. When connected to Wi-Fi, I can stream Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube without any issues.I did run into a minor connectivity issue recently, but the support team on WhatsApp was helpful. There’s a big time difference, so responses took a bit, but if you know how to ask the right questions and give clear info, they’re solid. They even sent me updated software and walked me through the installation step by step.Highly recommend. Great value and functionality.

WOW this thing is awesome
The media could not be loaded. I was very skeptical on buying this but overall it’s pretty awesome I have a 2017 Chevy 2500 the install was like 30min did not need steering wheel connector or the LVDS cable. The instructions were super easy to follow but you really don’t need them for the install part it’s plug and play. Now for the setup part took awhile but if you understand android tablets it will make sense. Car play was easy to setup and works great. If you hot spot the tablet it’s pretty cool you can watch Netflix or you tube and split screen gps. Down side google maps does not split waze maps no issues. Oem Backup camera works great but can’t really adjust brightness or anything there’s options for it. It just doesn’t change it.Sound is pretty good it’s a 30 band equalizer other than that. There’s no other settings like they advertised. And there was no robot on mine but I didn’t want it anyways. tablet is pretty quick not really slow at all and great picture even in the sun.Stars right up no issuesHelpful info- you need to make sure the console go into the console app and connect it to the tablets Bluetooth. For the LVDS cable you only need to use it if there’s two of those connectors in your truck if there’s only 1 do not use it. The antennas I just mounted inside the dash and have no issues. Same with the sound boxOverall it’s awesome I would buy it againShould definitely have a higher rating then 3.8 I feel like those reviews are just people not knowing what they are doingJust remember it’s a tablet and the console app is your stock setup for radio and Bluetooth
