We live in a high rise apartment with a “dog park” in front of the building, but we still wanted a better option for quick pee breaks for our dog, especially for stormy days or late at night.Our neighbor recommended this pad to us and it has been such a life saver.It’s the perfect size, great quality and so well made. The grass doesn’t come off and all parts are easy to clean. We add some extra pee pads right under the grass and on top of the three other layers just to keep it even cleaner.We leave the grass pad on our balcony and getting our dog to actually use it was a frustrating and long process to say the least.But two tips for anyone who might be struggling: teach your dog to “pee on command” and/or don’t take them out at night and the next morning when you know they have to pee, take them straight to the pad.A combination of these two things made the difference for us.When I took my dog out to pee and she did her little dance, I started adding my command. Right as she finishes her business, I praise and reward her as usual when training.So when I took her out to the balcony one morning instead of outside and used the command, she finally understood what I’ve been trying to get her to do in the first place, and it worked!

I bought two new puppies and the owner had them outside, so I thought this grass would be a good idea. This has worked wonders in potty training! Why haven’t I bought this before? The two puppies gravitated to it so quickly. The only thing is that I should’ve bought another one as it tends to smell after awhile. I started using puppy pads around and on top just to try to not have them pee as much as on the grass and that seems to work. Other than that this grass is great and lasts for awhile! It was easy to set up coming right out of the box. The product is exactly how it looked on the box and pretty big. It was worth every penny.

For the price, I think it should be noted that not only do the accessories not fit properly, they also don’t function as intended. I am using this for my ferret cage to reduce the splashing of urine that occurs when he goes, but instead it collects and sucks up all the pee instead of releasing it towards the bottom where we’re putting the pads. Even when I did use the recommended stuff, the grass that came with it would lift and have gaps in it that would completely devalue the whole purpose of this item. I highly recommend not washing this either; the pads didn’t work on absorption, and the grass well, the smell and fecal matter won’t get off until like 5 washes outside with bleach and water, and even then the smell will never leave plus stains are there for life. Not one for using harsh chemicals on pet items, but it had to be done since soap and water just didn’t cut it.P.S. got rid of the grass and switched back to the original pee pads :/

this works well as a potty training pad and it is easy to clean with how easily it comes apart BUT the artificial grass is so cheap and sucks! my pup has been able to tear out little chunks of grass and there are strands of grass all over the room, and some in his stool too :(. the back of the mat is also flakey so leaves a mess behind as well. I wish the grass was better quality and the ends were sewn or more secure so pup wouldn't be able to tear out strands of the mat. Also wish there was a way that all parts locked together so that pup could not play with the mat and take it off the tray. overall it works as a good tool but is kind of messy!
