Performance with my 2.5” SSD is super fast. It was a little tough inserting the drive into the adapter but once I got it in it was snug and secure. The look of the product is clean. Seems to be pretty durable. The provided usb cables seems to be of good quality and it’s super easy to use. You literally just insert your drive and plug it into whatever you like and the drive pops right up.This is worth every cent I paid for it. Great way to store extra games on your gaming console or for storing a saved windows OS backup in case of a system crash. So many different uses for this. It’s basically a modular external SSD drive now.

tl;dr: Brittle. Easy install. Data rates seem fine. Five stars for the price.This case comes in a box that fits like a skin over the case itself. The extras (a 300mm tip-to-tip USB cable, 2 little foam stick-on pads, and some paperwork) all come tucked into the case itself. Installation of my ssd drive could not have been easier.I opted for a clear case because I thought it would be neat to see the innards. It is. That said, I can tell the plastic is very brittle. One drop and this case IS going to shatter. Trust me. I would not be surprised if the black version is more impact resistant, but I am only speculating on that point. Were I to do it again, I would get the black one just to find out.Bottom line is, despite obviously being made of some pretty cheap, brittle plastic, the case works like a champ and did not seem to bottleneck transfer speeds in any way. For $8 at the time of this review, it's an easy five star.

I installed a 500 gig SATA SSD into this and it works without any issues. The case is light, almost flimsy but for the price it works great.

UGREEN box (reviewed elsewhere) wasn't available at time of purchase), so I bought this one to house a spare 2.5" HDD.Thinner plastic case than UGREEN, but rounded edge design has no sharp corners which could otherwise possibly dent or scratch things. Slightly smaller and more compact than UGREEN box, but more difficult to insert or remove disk drives, which must be carefully tilted in so as not to bend the SATA drive plug prongs, and it's a tight fit for older 9.5mm drives when sliding the top cover on or off. In contrast, UGREEN box allows straight-in SATA drive plug insertion. Cheaper than UGREEN box by a couple of dollars.
