The Perfect Mat
I got this mat to use with the water cooler I purchased. I have a wood floor, and this mat has proven to be a nice water barrier to spilled water from the cooler. It is just the right thickness. It is strong and durable. I have no complaints about this mat. It is perfect for my needs.

Excellent Floor Protection
Although billed as a water cooler mat to protect hardwood flooring, we received this item with ulterior motives in mind. Having pets, fresh water is a must. We leave it out in bowls that get refreshed throughout the day. Our typical dog bowls are set upon plastic mats made specifically for the purpose or a boot tray works well too. When floorspace is at a premium, such as in an RV or small apartment, the pronounced raised edges of these plastic water trays can be upsetting to walk upon or stumble over. This silicone tray has reduced height edges that still manage to collect errant water, but also manages to be kind to bare feet. The edges are also so pliable that if stepped upon while wearing shoes, they lay over or squish down so as to not create a stepping hazard. There are slight dimples located across the surface to allow for trapped moisture to escape and dry, so a standard size water dish will benefit from the ability to dry out should Fido be a sloppy lapper. The mat arrives rolled tight and bound by a rubber band. This product is so pliable that once unrolled, there is no evidence of it being held in a rolled position and it lays perfectly flat. It will also conform to uneven floors without protruding above the floor surface. Once the travel is over, we roll it tight again and it stores easily within the RV, taking up very little space. This mat serves many functions well and we're happy to have it aboard.

No slipping and cleans up easily
This mat does look smaller than the one in the pictures. When I laid it the way they have it, my cooler took up the whole area from the top to bottom and had some mat excess on the sides. It does not have that much mat protection all the way around it like it shows in the picture and my water cooler is definitely the one in the picture. Not a huge deal. I just turned it the other way so the majority of the mat excess is in the front where the water gets spilled anyway. I spill it 100% of the time when switching jugs. Cleans easy. Definitely anti-slip. It’s going to stay wherever it’s set. It’s been doing its job!

Exactly as described!
This water cooler dispenser mat was just what I have needed in my kitchen. When my husband fills his water bottle (which is not transparent), three times out of four it overflows onto our tile floor. I was even wondering if one of us would slip on the puddle of water at some point (which he never wipes up, but instead says, "It's okay; it'll dry.") Now I don't have to worry about it! Made of good quality material. And I really like that "the mat can handle the heat without melting or causing damage to the floor beneath," since I use our dispenser for hot water as much as for cold.
