The Oral/Enteral Syringe overcomes the design flaws of other oral and enteral syringes that have a modified luer-slip tip or a part-thread FLL1 tip, by providing a secure fully-locking tip for the safe delivery of enteral feeds and medication, and which is impossible to connect to IV access devices. NOTE: This safety system has now been updated by agreement of an International committee, resulting in a new tip and connection design standared ISO 80369 (ENFit), that will be introduced from mid-2016. The Oral/Enteral Syringe has a slim low-friction 0-ring seal, instead of a bulky end-piston seal, ensuring a safe, smooth, and accurate operation for either single use in hospital or multiple use at home.
