Does this supplement have a sufficient amount of calcium in it to give as a stand-alone, or should I be supplementing with additional calcium?

The amount of D3 and calcium in the topper are on the lower level. Those ingredients along with the other vitamins and minerals are added to the formula to boost the nutrition but not replace your normal supplementation. However, the only way to know if you are over supplementing is to have a vet check the vitamin D levels of your tortoise.
