The rod tube is strong and well constructed, good material and a strong zip.Considering the rod is in 6 sections it has a good action and casts extremely well.I fished with feathers and a 3 oz lead off the rocks and it performed very well. More than strong enough to pull the rig out of weeds. Next trip will be carp fishing and it will be perfect for that.I think it is excellent value for money.

The rod appears to be well made and should travel well in the supplied case however the person who posted the rod should have noticed the missing plastic strap attachment that was not there as the carry strap was just hanging from one of what should have been two and could not have been missed

Purchased this to go with the smaller 6 Smuggler rod as a Sea Fishing rod to put in my camper van and travel without taking up much space. Amazing feeling a good fish on this rod and how easy it handles bigger fish. Would highly recommend the rod and the customer service you receive from Rigged.

My second rigged and ready rod all round decent quality my only niggle it not on the large size for spinning but that’s my fault would like to see same test curve in a 8ft

I got this rod for an upcoming trip to Mexico in which the boss is letting me bring some fishing stuff - so I figured it should be as portable as possible, with the added bonus of being able to use it for a couple other trips this summer. I fish a great deal, both fly tackle and conventional tackle, including some surfcasting for striped bass on the east coast of the US. While I haven't gotten a chance to really get this rod out for a full day to put it through its paces, the other day I brought it down to the local pier to give it a try - it performed very well and I'm very happy with it. It balanced nicely with a Penn 6000 sized reel. With the longer tip section attached, its rated to cast between roughly 1.5oz (+/-) and 3.5 oz. While the action was a bit slower than I expected for a true surfcasting rod, it really has a very nice smooth action and casted very nicely. Paired with 30lb braid, I was able effectively cast lures as light as 1/2 oz, though not as far as lures that are heavier, and it handled heavier lures beautifully. Overall it is really well made and thoughtfully designed. I hope this is the beginning to a storied fishing history with this rod!

The rod broke just when I was casting a 2oz bucktail jig..very flexible and not mad to cast often..I didn't took pictures because I get mad and throw it in the garbage

Tried it yesterday for 3 hours nonstop fishing and it was great. A bit heavy but not too heavy.Thumbs up!

Fished this rod hard for a month everyday on the Southern Baja, packed easily into my luggage from Vancouver which is always an issue when travelling with a rod, but not now this rod it is 3.2m long and only 25" long when packed into its hard case. Recieved it in 4 days from Amazon USA to Canada.I caught just about everything you could imagine, Needlefish, Dorado, Jack cravelle, Needlefish and even a 5-6' Hammerhead.Best Travel rod I have owned yet bar none...Thankyou Rigged and Ready

I’ve caught hundreds of fish with this rod in several different countries and I loved it. Unfortunately, this time I can’t get it apart and I’m boarding a plane in a few hours. So, it’s getting left behind. I’m super unhappy.AWESOME UPDATE!!! The manufacturer read this and is sending a replacement rod. These are super terrific airport rods!!
