What size is the drill bit?

I believe the drill bit is 11/32”, but I found that very tight. 3/8” worked better for me on a thick walled bucket, or run the bit on and out a few times to slightly enlarge the hole, being careful not to remove too much material. Ive always found it easier to make a drilled hole bigger, and nearly impossible to make it smaller. 😀 I would use the supplied drill bit on the buckets or if you don’t have your own bits and only drill it bigger if needed. The included bit does work, but it felt very tight for my needs. It could have been the bucket I used. It did not seem to drill well, and it could have not been an issue on other buckets had I used them.

So i installed these, but a 5-gallon bucket drains overnight. what could i be doing wrong? i've checked that nothing is typing the cups up.

If there is no leakage in the bucket, please check whether the chicken water cups are properly attached to the bucket and whether the nuts are tightened? If it is loose, try tightening it.

Can I order replacement springs for this?

I’m not sure if they have replacement springs available from the seller. However, I have had to put mine back together after the chickens knocked one of the cups off. I would think any of the big home improvement stores or hardware stores would have springs like that. They don’t seem to be anything unusual.
