Although I don't think foreign language readers of this book will be speaking very much English after going through this book--there is nothing like practicing and listening--they will certainly have a good handle on grammar, punctuation, and other usage elements! This is an excellent introduction to English that anyone interested in the English language will find helpful. Teachers, editors, writers, and people who want to improve their English skills will find this an excellent guide. Grammar and other information is laid out in easy-to-understand language that is anything but confusing. Each chapter ends with a list of Key Takeaways and a brief test to reinforce what you have just learned. I think if we had had this book in English class in school, fewer students would have dreaded it. But if learning English as a foreign language, it would be helpful to hear and listen to English in conversation, try using it yourself in conversation, and start learning the many thousands of words available in English. Getting bogged down in the finer points of grammar can hinder those who want to start speaking English right away. I took German and French in school, and always felt that I knew a lot about their grammar, but could barely speak or write a real sentence. But this is still a wonderful guide to English that I would recommend.

As advertised, this is a workbook to assist in learning English grammar. It is comprehensive and will help a reader learn many of the confusing fine points of English. A significant strength offered by this book is access to free bonus tools available through the publisher’s website. Just to be clear, my opinion is that this book, while excellent, is not a magic key that will provide mastery of English. Readers will have to review this information frequently and practice it often for fluency. It is, nonetheless, an exceptionally well-written and educational book that readers should consider when the goal is to understand and use the language like a native speaker.

As you will notice in the images attached, the book contains some grammatical mistakes thatcan impede the learning process of someone who is looking to learn English. Please revise this book and ensure it is properly edited before selling it —- potential buyers, be aware.

A helpful guide for anyone who wants to learn and practice English grammar. I like the many examples included. I also like the interesting and easy-to-follow writing style. I highly recommend it!

Note this book is designed for ESL students, but as a native speaker I have found it as a good overall resource
