Gift for a lawyer. Large, detailed, sturdy, and beautiful.
This is gorgeous. I bought it as a gift for a lawyer since it looks like the knight is holding court. The coloring is amazing and it seems sturdily constructed. Size is as described which is quite large so you've got to have the space for it. I'm mounting it to a stand so I can include an engraving for the recipient, but it should still be able to fit on a large bookshelf if you aren't putting it on a table/ledge/desk/buffet. The sword / letter opener is super cool and while I saw some other reviews that said the sword didn't fit correctly, I didn't have an issue: the slit in the floor is big enough and the sword leans into the knight's hand. It's not a tight fit - you want to grab it easily as to not break the hand or arm if you're actually going to use the letter opener - so you can't jostle the knight around without it falling out but seriously who is swinging their knight around in the first place? As cost goes, this is comparable or cheaper than other knights I've previewed. I showed it to one of the lawyer's assistants to see if I made the right choice and after learning of the cost, he immediately wanted one. That was all I needed to hear.

Very Nice, but needed work
The little notch where the tip of the sword rests was not deep enough. The hilt of the sword couldn’t slip into the knight’s hand. With a bit of careful work, using the tip of a knife, I was able to deepen the hole. Now the sword fits perfectly. The material is white, which made the hole look bad. I used a black, fine-tipped marker to color the white stuff. It looks fine now.

Right side has glue issues
I love this item and I should really give it 3 stars for the quality control issues and glue on the right-side front and back plus under the paint on front but will still give it 4 stars even though mines a mess. Take a look at picture 4 which is the backside of the item, and you can see glue all over the back on the right side of the map. It's even sticky and it doesn't want to come off. I don't want to use anything harsh to remove it and ruin my unit, but it does take away from this wonderful looking item. Picture 6 is the front right side, and you can see the bubbles from the glue under the painted part of the feathered throne. This should have been caught and corrected before that coating was even put over the item. The good and why even with its flaws and hefty price I give it 4 stars is the design and weight of this item. The color of the knight himself and his details are wonderful. Do I think it's worth say $80 dollars, yes if yours doesn't have any glue issues like mine and you like things like this item. Even the map on the back of the throne has nice details and the letter opener sword just adds to the whole look.Ratings:Design and look of this unique item 5 starsQuality control of the item: 1 stars maxFeel and uniqueness of item adds an extra star making it 4 stars even messed up like mine.

Well crafted
Here’s an amazing piece of art that was packaged well and looks great, the sword comes out a little too easy but all in all it’s an amazing piece. My friend loved it and it’s gonna be the new king in our next dnd campaign! Thanks so much for a wonderful product.

Freaking awesome!!!
Alright I have to admit that this thing is super dope! I’m sure they were capitalizing off of the game of thrones thing which I’m totally here for! This thing is solid! Like if I ever needed something to defend myself quickly at arm length screw a fire poker or a cast iron skillet, I’ll take my solid metal knight in shining armor any day! Haha.No but seriously, this is one of those cool pieces that I just stare at all day while I’m working. As much as I love working from home I almost wish I was in office just to show this baby off! The detail is just crazy! It is insanely detailed and there is even an etched map on the back.Do you absolutely need this? No. But if you have a cool hundred burning a hole through your pocket and want an awesome well made statue/self defense item then this is totally it!

Wanted to Love It
I really wanted to love this piece but I only just like it. When I first took it out of the box the knight fell of the stand making my almost drop the base on my foot. What I didn't know is that it is meant to come apart but I was certain I broke it. To make matters worse as I stood there looking at it I noticed that one of the arms of the statue is glued to the throne making me think I had also ripped off an arm, much to my relief I hadn't done any damage. Once I got it reattached to the throne I discovered that the divot that the end of the sword in is not very deep which lets the cutter fall off of the base. However, it stays in place better if you drop the hilt down in to one hand and push the bottom of the opener against the opposite foot. The paint job is also less then great. Anywhere there is gold paint it is spread around into the surrounding colors most notably the crest in the throne and the design up the center of the armor. I do like it and after a little bit of work I will love it but I am going to have to spend some time repainting the whole thing.
