What size is the kibble?

The salmon kibble isn't very thick but it's Very Wide to swallow. 1/2 lnch X 1/4 inch. I wouldn't recommend it for smaller dogs. I can't speak to the size of the chicken kibble.

My dog always gets grain free food and treats. We have always used Taste of the Wild (Salmon) and were wondering if anyone likes this better?

Taste of the Wild has a strong salmon smell but surprisingly this brand here is even stronger. My dog just loves it and the smell doesn't fade much after being opened like most other brands will.

In one place it says no chicken by product meal and then the second ingredient is chicken meal. Which is it?

WHAT is chicken digest?

The item featured in the picture is the Salmon Recipe version. sold here. There's chicken meal added which excludes "chicken by products" and chicken fat also listed in the ingredients panel. However, this ridiculous rant about "'Animal Digest" focuses more on the controversial issue of what is meant by "animal or chicken by products " listed in some manufacturers dog food ingredients. However, that doesn't apply here. Granted chicken fat is added to this salmon dog food recipe. However, many people use cooked chicken fat as well to flavor their own human grade recipes and who am I to question that. The topic of "animal digest" has no place in discussion here when reviewing this product. What is the motive behind it?. I question whether it was possibly added to garnish more likes to a specific reviewer's profile for whatever underlying reasons that person may have specific in mind.

It's healthy dog food

My pup is beyond what you would call a picky eater. I've tried almost every brand/flavor out there. Finally tried the Salmon - for the 1st few days he ate it up - now he grazes and doesn't eat until almost bedtime (he finally realizes he's not getting anything else). It doesn't upset his tummy even though he takes all day to eat it. All in all - this is a good product - just have a picky eater to deal with.

Good ingredients

My new dog loves this food. I think it is good for dogs with digestion problems. My old dog loved it, but my new dog really loves it. She'll eat every morsel. Has really good ingredients. I usually give less kibble and add vegetables like carrots and broccoli.

Beware.....Contains chicken products...

Switched from a supermarket brand to this because my dog has allergy issues from chicken products. This has Salmon, Pumpkin, and Sweet Potato....... and chicken by-products... I was wondering why he was scratching... again!In the future, I will be sure to read the entire ingredient list to avoid the skin issues we are now dealing with again.
