Gave up
Kitchen project to convert 12 doors to soft close. Installed 3 of these from a trial 5 pack then gave up. None of my cross head drivers seemed to fit exactly right, and more to the point, the screw channels in the piston body are angled in. As a result you can’t fit one right in the top corner of the cabinet as suggested in the installation card. You can’t get the right angle on the screwdriver. The 3 I fitted do work and the resistance adjustment is good but I gave up.I fitted the Hettich screw over dampers to the remaining doors. Much quicker, work better IMHO, and make for a neater installation.Couldn’t recommend, but YMMV.Edit: re-reading the instructions I now see that only 1 screw is needed, angled up if you’re screwing from below, or down if you’re fixing from above. I hadn’t grasped that. On balance, the others are still easier to fit, but I’ve changed the rating for the pistons to 4*

Watch out for hinge
I am 87 years old, and I had no trouble to install. Easy and they work great I installed 30 and had no trouble. They are all metal. They are more expensive than plastic, but well worth it. I thought I had a defective soft closure, but it was a weak hinge. Watch out for weak hinge.

Installation was easy. Be sure to place them on the hinge ...
I purchased this small quantity to test how they worked on my cabinets. They arrived in a plastic bag with the required amount of screws and a little instruction sheet.Installation was easy. Be sure to place them on the hinge side or your cabinet likely won't have the necessary force to close. I placed them at the top corner so they were out of the way. I would recommend drilling a pilot hole to avoid splitting the frame, but it can be done without. They tend to sit flush and sturdy more easily if you do. Hold them steady and firm in the corner, drill your pilot, insert the screw, and tighten.A second set of hands can help. You can use tape to hold them in place while you drill and screw it down. Otherwise, I'd at least make sure your driver is magnetic if to avoid the frustration of dropping and searching for screws. They only included one per mechanism, so you don't want to misplace them or you'll need a trip to the hardware store. My only complaint is that there is no way to adjust the tension. The only adjustment you make is the distance the cabinet will catch. This was usually sufficient, but some of my heavier cabinets could still be slammed. A second mechanism can be added, but unfortunately I had many cabinets where two mechanisms proved to be too much for it to still self close, at least at a reasonable rate.Anyways, for the price you can't go wrong. I went ahead and ordered enough for the rest of my cabinets afterwards, and am very happy with them. A couple of slammable, but largely dampened cabinets isn't enough for me to dock any stars.

Easy to install
Good product and a fair price.

Not very adjustable, with edits
Seems very sturdy. When I adjusted the piston for the lightest pressure, nothing changed and the resistance is the same.... Probably OK for a heavy door with strong closing pressure. After more research, I now see the the adjustment screw changes how far out the piston goes, but it has no impact of the resistance to movement.I moved the closers to the hinge side and everything seems to work well so far.
