Do the doors open from front

Yes they open but you can’t go all the way through. There is like a little square room when you go through the doors. The only actual play area is the front of the castle! The back of the castle is just s flat plastic back.

Does anyone know if this castle that is sold with the extra figurines is the exact size as the castle that is sold with Bowser alone?

Yes, the only difference are the extra characters. Make sure to look at the pictures because the castle does not open up to anything, the back is blank.
