My child loves Lego car sets and this was a close match. It was put together with ease. The working lights were a cute addition.

Unexpected level of quality. Friends did not believe me when I told them it was not Lego. It is sitting right next to an aftermarket LED lit Home Alone kit (which is also awesome).I am an adult and a Lego fanatic and on several of my sets I have added aftermarket LED lights. I also love Steampunk theme. I generally stay away from non Lego building blocks unless no alternative as I have found them to be inferior.When I saw the steampunk line from Funwhole, I decided to give it a shot. I started with this Vintage Car set. I was instantly hooked. Very nice car, you can mount the battery underneath and then roll it around. This set came with 1 minifigure that is different than your typical Lego figure. Pretty neat. After that, I built the Steampunk Train and Steampunk Train Station which I will also be writing reviews for. I just ordered the Steampunk Trading Center and the Steampunk Airship. Looking forward to building those sets after the holidays. I just couldn't' resist.What I liked:* No extra cost to add LED Lighting* Pieces felt very high quality. Probably slightly below Lego but extremely close* No missing pieces in any of the Funwhole sets I have assembled thus far* Superior packaging. Significantly better than Lego* Excellent instruction book at least on par with Lego and in some cases better* You build the sets with the LED lights in mind, much easier than retrofitting lights* Very detailed.* Some Funwhole sets have stickers like LEGO other sets like the train station use a new higher quality sticker that does not look like a sticker once applied (follow the instructions, there is a small learning curve)* I made a mistake with one of the new style stickers on the train station. Funwhole sent me out a new sticker sheet for free and I had it in a week. Excellent customer service. Very responsive.Considerations:* I felt that while the set looks great out of the box and on a table, there were some opportunities for a bit more interactive "play" features that could have been added.* These sets are slightly more difficult to build mainly due to the wiring. But as I mentioned you don't have to install the LEDs. They provide non LED parts you can swap out right in the box. But a lot easier than aftermarket wiring a Lego set.Overall* Absolutely will buy more Funwhole sets. Excellent value, very good looking and kind of a refreshing change from building Lego which I also enjoy. I feel that the addition of Funwhole sets opens up some new ideas and approaches that compliment Lego. They each can learn from each other.

My kids loves to do model legos

This kit is very cool. I had some issues, but I still give it a 5.The pieces sometimes have trouble staying together. I had to glue the headlights. But it had some major advantages. I found the wires to be extremely easy to run, and I'm very glad that it gave an option to use a USB port or the battery pack to turn on the lights. It looks cool when lit up, too.A lot of these types of kits, I don't hold onto them long once they're built. But I'll probably be displaying this one for a while.

Is this Lego? No, but that’s a good thing. This set is compatible with other building block brands and Fun Whole didn’t cut corners making it. Easy to assemble, easy to understand instructions and lights for the set. Would look good in any collection out there.

GO. My son is 16 and has been into those expensive guys forever. He loves steam punk right now so this fit the bill. He has more sets he wants to buy.

Normally I am a LEGO purist but I decided to try this as an affordable alternative. First, I was very impressed with the packaging. Nice quality box and numbered bags. Full color instruction book, and they do a really good job of hiding the wiring within the build.Drawbacks - the minifig was hard to put together and the proportions are weird. He also doesn’t stand up on his own. The instructions combine more steps than most Lego so it’s definitely more of an advanced build. Also, the doohickey on the wires came off when I tried to plug it in. It came with a battery pack and I think a USB power option. I can’t get it to light up with the USB but I might not have reattached the wires properly. It’s tiiiiiny. And I don’t have the button batteries to try that.But overall the bricks seem to be similar quality to Lego and compatible with Lego as well. I’m impressed. For the price this is really good and I will buy more sets from this company.
